Sebastians — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

Was initially greeted with a welcome. The food was lovely, loved the gyros dish. The only concern I have is that I did not feel welcomed. The husband was welcoming, but I did feel uncomfortable with his partner. I did think it was a one off and went back the second time to see if it was just a glitch. The other lady who I may think is a family member was there the second time was lovely. My gripe is when you went to pay, I was not given the bill and when asked how much the food was? ( taking a €20 out). She snatched it out of my hand and said that will do. It could have been more or it could have been less ,but I was not given the option and felt uncomfortable with the gesture. On the good side, I can say that I was postively suprised by appetizers - garlic pita with beetroot and garlic sauces was delicious. Unfortunately, it was downhill from here. Most of the dishes were accompanied by the same mediocre french fries and random combination of raw vegetables. Dishes themselves were below average as well, like someone just cooked/fried/grilled ingredients with minimal effort. Maybe the best octopus I have ever eaten - soft and juicy inside, crispy from outside, well seasoned. My daughter had chicken gyros - huge portion, a lot of fresh and perfectly seasoned meet, plus nice tzatziki, french fries and salad. You get also a free starter (grilled pita bread & two types of spread), plus the liquor for me and the icecream for my daughter. Plus we ordered 3 drinks.
