Sydney Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

My wife and i first visited this bar in 2017 when we stayed up the road in another hotel with it being our first visit to kefalos, Kos. we had a family birthday meal here and they made us so welcome. we just fell in love with the place, so my wife and i booked a room with them July 2019, the owners Michael and marianthea are so friendly and welcoming, and the other guests we spoke to around the pool were also so friendly it's like one big happy family. the food is outstanding every meal we had was delicious. we absolutely love this little gem of a place right on the sea front. we love it that much we've already booked for next year, and we're so lucky to get a room for the week's we want because they are always busy. the worst place i have ever seen. me and my girlfriend arrived at noon, the resturant were completly empty, so empty that the bartender was also the waitress, and the cook served the meal to the table and the owner or manager was sitting.

we ordered only two cheesburger, and after we waited for 37 minutes, while the resturant is empty!!! i came to check when we gonna get the only two burgers.

after i went to check , after another five minutes the burgers have finally arrived. after we eat, i go up to take toothpicks because the waitress was in the bar, then the owner, came and start to argue with me why i checked it taking so long, without me saying anything. after that he said "we are doing things in our way and if you wait 37 minutes, so we make burger one hour, and if you dont like it you can go and never come back"

well with this kind of ownership i can see now why all the other resturants were full at lunch and he was empty.

We have stayed here many times over the years and you cannot fail to love this place. Michael and Marianthe and their family and all the staff can't do enough for you which is why so many people return time after time.||||Rooms are very clean as are all public areas. Rooms are equipped with flat screen tv, safe and air conditioning (individually controlled).||||The food is of an excellent standard with a fully open spotless kitchen (Jordan the chef and Michael the owner make an excellent team).||||Marianthe manages the bar area very effectively with a great team behind her.||||Crissanthe (daughter) helps out in school holidays as does Manolis (son) in university holidays.||||If you are looking for a warm welcome in a small family run place then this is the one for you.||||If you are looking for a great place to eat (including full English breakfast and Sunday roast) you must visit.||||Directly overlooking the sea with a pool too, book it as you won't be...
