Acrogiali — Restaurant in Municipality of Lavreotiki

Terrible service. Not worth going to. Prices are somewhat overpriced, but it's because of the location and view, so not unreasonable. However, the portions on many of the dishes are very small, and thus the prices are extremely high for what you are getting.

I've gone here for years, and the service has gotten increasingly worse. Last visit, we had to ask multiple times for the water we ordered (we never received it), for bread (never received it), and for our tzikiki (never received it). Only a few dishes showed up. This was for an order that included fish by the kilo, so not some cheap order they decided wasn't worth it. After over an hour, we put cash on the table for what we had and left. This is the only time I've had to do this in Greece. I had three student tour groups coming through in the spring, and we usually use this location for lunch when visit the site of Sounio. The service was so unacceptably bad, that I've already had our arrangements changed to eat elsewhere.

Others have pointed out that they are operating illegally, re: pretending their card machine is broken and that they can't take credit cards. This is 100% true, and something they have always done for as long as I have been going there...

What a load of rubbish. We called to reserve a table 3 days before, they said no reservations. We came on Sunday at 13:00 and they had at least 7 tables with reserved labels on them.

When we asked the waiters why they said they do this sometimes... what a load of crap...

We finaly talked then into setting a table for us, took them 20minutes to do so.

2 of us when for a swim while the other 2 stayed to put the initian drink order. We returned after 30mins the drinks were nowhere to be found.

After 10 mins the drinks came.

Then the other couple went for a swim and we put a starter order.

Another 30mins pass and only part of the order came.

We reminded about 3 of the staff of the missing items and all said "sure we'll have a look" 2 hours after and our fried calamari and extra bread are still nowhere to be found.

Also Apparently their POS wasnt working but they were accepting REVOLUT. THAT'S NOT DODGY AT ALL...

Cost and arm and a leg for pure frustration. How is this place still running!

I will say the staff is nice but that is the only plus. Plus they pay locals to boost their ratings. Take a look, the only people with good comments are "local guides".

There are only two restaurants close Aegeon, Acrogiali is not the restaurant to go to. Ilias has better food an service. I ordered the Fresh Squid at Acrogiali and it was boot leather tough and visibly burned from the fryer. You can see the burns on the top and the part I spit out. I mentioned how bad it was to the server and he told the cook who just gave me a dirty look and kept smoking. I get squid can be tough but this was just bad.The squid at Ilias was soft, well flavored and cooked well, along with their octopus. I get this is a small restaurant but honestly they don't seem to care and its obvious I'm not the only one that thinks so. 20 euro for burned food is honestly terrible. Avoid this place, walk ten more feet to the other restaurant, at least you get well...
