Well well well. I needed time to get my emotions in check for this one. What a disaster. Last year we came for dinner here and swore we would come back if we were ever in Agia Pelagia. This time was awful. Firstly..3 tables that came after us got their drinks and starters before we even got the menu. Eventually we got drinks after 30 minutes and they forgot to bring the sprite in a bottle for my daughter...only got it after we asked them about it. Then it got worse. We only ordered mains and I ordered the only starter which I had tried last year and it was amazing. Everyone else got their dry flavourless and overcooked meals except for me. I had to ask twice after 15 minutes of waiting for my food. No apology at all for forgetting to make my food. We were closest to the kitchen..so they kept on walking past us. At some stage..they even brought a cocktail to us and it was not for our table..we told them we were still waiting for my food. Still no apology. At least 20 minutes after my family finished their meals ..they brought my undercooked starter. Needless to say.. I was so angry and their response was that its no use getting angry they are already making my food... there is nothing they can do. Anyways.. I tried to eat the vile starter ..which I couldn't even stomach Teo forks of. When my husband told them we wanted to pay..they still had the nerve and gaul to ask if everything was good. He told them it was an absolute disaster..and they finally offered him...not me.. a dessert, of which he declined. I also told my hubby that I refuse to pay for my horrendous...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to take a walk and explore and try to get some local food. Wee looked at google review and picked this place since the review was 4.7 stars. After arrival we were told that there is no space and we had to wait for a table. So we did for about 30 min. We learned that there is no WiFi. So we enjoyed the view. We have ordered chicken sticks ( which we thought were pieces of chicken on the stick. Like little kebabs. ). Chicken wings and a chicken quesadilla. What was brought to the table was not good at all. Chicken sticks were just shavings of deep fried chicken. You can’t call it a chicken finger since there was almost no meat.
Chicken wings were 5 pieces and again something that you would buy in supermarket and were deep fried and didn’t taste good.
Quesadilla- wasn’t tasting like a regular quesadilla. It had a bunch of decent ingredients yet after tasting a piece each not me nor my wife wanted to eat the remaining pice.
To be fair to the staff our waitress. Saw how disappointed we were and didn’t charge us for the food. It was a good call on her side We left 10 euro tip. Which we thought would cover a beer and a bottle of water that we ordered. And couple of euros for the waitress.
We wouldn’t...
Read moreWe visited the Home on a friday as we were attracted by the beautiful interior and its music.
However, the experience itself was a disappointment to say the least. Our drinks (a cocktail and a smoothie) were good and fairly quickly served, but it took about 40-50 minutes for our food to arrive, which to us seemed like a simple task (1 burrito and 2 enchiladas).
It also seemed odd to us that the staff were more busy with each other than with the guests. I suppose that’s not normally an issue, but when the owner visibly starts making out with one of the servers, that is when it started weirding us out.
One of the worst moments of the evening was when the owner decided that he wanted to smoke a cigarette… right next to our table. He had every opportunity to smoke it in the back where the staff table was, but I guess he felt the need to share his disgusting tobacco smoke with us while we were eating.
The food itself also wasn’t that special, and can be made at home by anyone. I can’t say that we felt any love was being put into the food.
Overall a promising restaurant but a bad experience. There are a lot more restaurants in Agia Pelagia that offer better food and a better...
