I was about to eat some pasta just to fulfill my everyday hunger needs.

I saw Cardamomo just 200 meters away from Ano Mera Village. I parked my car to the wide space available and got into the restaurant.

What a wrong mindset I had!

At the entrance there was a waiter with a warm and shiny smile that welcomed me and offered a table.

The menu, has a variety of southern Italian tastes. From pizzas and bruschetta’s, to pasta with different flavors.

The pasta is handmade and fresh, as the chef told me. The pizzas are made from Italian recipes.

Pizzas have a variety of options, from diavola to crudo. The pizza bread is the typical southern Italian bread, made with a lot of passion.

Pastas are amazing, cooked the proper way and are ultra delicious.

The personnel is professional with a lot of years of experience in Italy, although young and passionate for their job.

Moreover, the restaurant is cozy and welcomes everyone who wants an experience, not just a plate of food.

Finally, prices are nothing compared to “Mykonos prices”, and for two people ordering appetizers, main dish and something to drink you should more or less pay half of the price of a drink in the “famous” places of Mykonos.

Cardamomo is a hidden gem of Mykonos, a place that makes our days into happier and lively.

We visited Cardamomo tonight. I’m pregnant, and unfortunately, we were seated in the smoking area. Although they said it was open-air, the ventilation was poor and the space was filled with smoke.

Despite our complaint, we weren’t moved, even though there were free tables in the non-smoking section — which were later given to guests who arrived after us. We had to take our food to go and eat at our hotel.

The pizza and pasta were delicious, but if you don’t want to eat surrounded by cigarette smoke, this place might not be for you — especially if you’re pregnant or sensitive.

Ps: It is definely not an open place and the place has expected to check tables if they smoke or not based on their reply. I can clearly say that is...
