Dining here felt like we were guests at a Greek family’s home rather than customers at a restaurant. The smells, the generous portions, the atmosphere – everything reminded us of being warmly invited to someone’s house for a home-cooked meal.

Located away from the more polished, touristy areas of Mykonos, this place offers a calm, authentic setting with a beautiful sunset view. It’s the kind of spot where locals eat – we noticed more Greeks than tourists, which is always a good sign.

The food was incredibly comforting. The lamb and veal were tender, slow-cooked to perfection – ideal if you’re looking for something beyond the usual grilled or barbecued options. The sides were refreshing too – not just the standard French fries that seem to be everywhere. If you’re tired of the same plates, this is a welcome change.

They did forget our pita bread and olives, but honestly, the main dishes were so satisfying that we didn’t miss them. No dessert menu, just fresh watermelon served at the end – simple and just right after a generous meal.

Dining at Xarathymio was one of the absolute highlights of our time in Mykonos! The food was out of this world — every dish bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned with vibrant herbs that tasted like they were just picked from the garden. Everything we tried was succulent and so beautifully prepared that we couldn’t resist coming back twice during our stay!

What made our experience even more special was our wonderful server, Maria. She made us feel like family from the moment we sat down — warm, welcoming, and full of heart. Her knowledge of the menu and genuine enthusiasm made the whole meal even more memorable.

And let’s not forget the views — absolutely breathtaking! Dining with the Aegean Sea shimmering in the background added a magical touch to every bite.
