I personally can not thank the staff more at the agean, whilst staying it was also my birthday they worked with my partner to add the smallest of touches to make our stay amazing. ||Reading some of the the reviews honestly makes no sense as my experience couldn’t of been any different…||||•We arrived decided to walk from the airport, it’s a very easy route 10min, totally personal choice if you want to save money. ||• We we greeted by Elena who was fanatic very friendly, explained the hotel, breakfast, any bus stops, food, locations. Offered us both water and drinks.||• Room one was very clean, and the pool was one of the smaller they had we thought we were getting something bigger, we spoke to them and they agreed to move us after one night. ||• Next morning they personally showed us two rooms before moving us, again perfectly clean, tidy.||My hair is long and I was worried about the showers but I didn’t experience any problem with either rooms with showers over flowing?! ||•Pool was clean, bean bags are comfortable, ||Pool does face a road but you are hidden by the bushes that grow along side, only why people can see you is if there in a high vehicle, considering it was august it did get busy at peak time but nothing major that at all would put you off. ||• My birthday my partner organised with them a cake, flowers & after our day trip out I came back to a banner and balloons on the bed also.||•Breakfast is basic but it’s enough! you have plenty to choose from, they make it clear that you can mix and match and you can personally choose what you do and don’t want. ||• They do! Replenish toiletries if not just ask! ||• Water we always go and buy big 6 pack in any hot country, you can not just live on a small single bottle. There is a fridge in the room grab some of your fav drinks & keep a supply! ||• only animal we came across was our last night and ||a centipede from outside came in not a cockroach. ||• higher a quad bike if your staying in peak season, out of season get a car! ||• bus picks you up outside hotel for either Mykonos town or the other way to beach club paradise. ||||For the price with a private pool it was perfect, absolutely perfect, you can not fault how friendly the staff are and accommodating. ||Highly recommend to everyone! ||This was our second time in Mykonos and the first was at a higher end with a private pool, this has exceeded expectations.||||We actually got engaged during the stay in Mykonos, I am sentimental and the flowers my partner gave to me at our proposal, I took the ribbon and pins out to bring home, at the airport I realised I hadn’t packed them, He rang the hotel, they found them and have sent them from Mykonos to London. - I don’t know any hotel that would actually go out there way to do that. ||||Thank you so so much agean! ||We will definitely be returning! Thank...

She was definitely one of the best things about our stay as her recommendations were excellent!||+ the outdoor area is lovely - comfy beanbags and nicely presented with a private pool. We didn’t mind it overlooking a busy road as we quickly got used to the noise.||+ we were given a selection of local menus from which we could order food. We loved having gyros on our private terrace and thought this was such a good idea from the hotel to get around them not having a kitchen.||||Cons:||- the room was a bit shabby: paint chipped off the wall, a shower that overflowed after about 3 mins, and two single beds pushed together instead of a double||- drinking water is only available on the first day which was not made clear to us. We would have expected a refill of drinking water in a so called ‘high-end’ hotel. Only after getting back from a beach club when the nearby supermarket was closed did we find out, which was pretty inconvenient. We could have easily picked some up if they had informed us prior that we would not be getting any more water.||- the breakfast was really not great. Probably the most unlovingly prepared Greek salad we’ve ever had - literally just the raw ingredients thrown in, not even chopped up and no dressing. There was not much variety, and what we did get wasn’t great quality such as the overly sweet bread and packets of chocolate cereal with no milk that we had to eat dry. And the wooden cutlery did not make it feel like a ‘luxury’ hotel. The yoghurts were nice though!||- The lack of attention to detail did not give us the luxury feeling we had hoped for - no welcome drink, no flannels or robes, our toiletries were not replenished despite having ran out, and we had to pay a deposit to get beach towels.||- one of the light fittings was loose and fell on my partners head. We understand accidents happen but the lady we told did nothing, and we had to ring reception again to ask them to clear it up. We were shocked at the end to be charged 50 euros for this.
