Stumbled upon this place on our arrival to the island. We wanted to eat fresh fish and they invited us inside to see the fish they had. They told us we could choose the fish there and then, which we did and booked a table for the evening at 20.30. When we arrived we ordered some starters and we told the waiter that as main course we had already chosen the fish earlier on in the afternoon. He went to check and told us the name of the fish and that it would be grilled.
The starters were served immediately and the waiter had suggested the fish soup which I chose and it was very good.
At around 21.45 our main course had not yet arrived and to our surprise the waiter brought us the bill with the main course included. We told him that we were still waiting for the main course!!! He ran away to check and we did not see him again. The place is very busy and I tried to get some attention fm the other waiters. I asked 2 of them that it was now 22.00 hrs and we were still waiting for the main course. Our mood had changed and our appetite had vanished. Finally the waitress came telling us that they had forgotten the fish!!! This has never happened to us. She asked if we still wanted the fish to which we said that we wanted to pay as our appetite had gone by then. It's a shame! Will not return to this place but they managed to ruin...
Read moreThe atmosphere is the highlight of Capetan Nicholas. You can dine under a sky full of stars and in front of the windmill. ✨
If you are lucky to be there during sunset, this creates another unique experience.
We chose a fresh seafood that you can choose yourself from the restaurant. They will then weight it and cook it as you prefer. The marinated anchovies are to try as they are really good!
We also chose the tuna tar tar that they mentioned was fresh but it was nothing special and it doesn’t seem fresh at all, so make sure, especially for delicate and raw things that they really are.
The service is friendly and quick.
The prices are good in comparison to other places that offer seafood on the island. Count that what involves fresh seafood, you will see the prices per kg, but in the end the final price is good. It is basically one of the few places on the island that offers such a good quality.

Read moreAs a Greek person that has tried a lot of restaurants, the food is very fresh and tasty. We got the moussaka, the eggplant rolls and a pork souvlaki. In the pork souvlaki portion there could be pitas, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki added, like in other restaurants. All was very nice nonetheless and the quality is apparent. However the prices are not affordable for everyone, it's something to have in mind. For three people the check was 70€. We also got the summer salad which we found original. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails even though they're cheap. The stuffed vineleaves were also good. And the bread was better than most Greek restaurants.
I was very disappointed with the lack of offered dessert like in many greek tavernes - especially since the prices were so high to begin with.
Finally, the service was pretty fast and the...
