To Steki Tis Marias — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Very bad food & service experience. I was a bit shocked this can happen in Greece.

Food below average is a compliment in this case: uncooked fries, octopus that is cooked way too much - it’s rubber, sardines that are cooked to be crispy ( as chips, horible ) and the list can go on. Also ee ordered greek salad ( most basic greek dish ) 2 times in 15 minutes and it was different: main difference being another cheese on top.

Service is friendly but totally random: dishes coming out in weird order - we got sides for main before starters, main dishes in a group of 6 with 30-45 minutes from each other. They are friendly but can’t even understand the basic english words: sparkling water.

All in all, you waste your money and good moode - probably gona be more happy grabing a souflaki / gyros from the center where the queue is and have the money spent on a few drinks.

One of the worst restaurants in the Island. We tried a few of plates and both were so bad, in particular the saganki cheese. It was from almost 5 days, not home made as most of the cheese of other restaurants in the Island, cold and hard to eat. When we complained there were excuses as the owners do not speak English. In addition was so expensive. I do not recomend at all going there. There are many, many restaurants in the Island very good with real home made food not from supermarket and very...

È un peccato che il nostro primo pasto a Koufonissi ci abbia lasciato così tanto amaro in bocca...e non tanto per il cibo (non eccelso, ma nemmeno immangiabile), quanto per la netta sensazione, con alta probabilità corrispondente a verità, di essere stati presi in giro, con lucida preordinazione. Ci sediamo per pranzo, ancora non c'è nessuno...ci vengono elencati a voce i piatti disponibili e subito uno pensa "che bello, uno di quei posti talmente casalinghi che non c'è nemmeno il menù"...e invece poi ti accorgi che agli avventori locali che sopraggiungono di lì a poco il menù viene consegnato eccome...e ti sorge così il sospetto che la scelta di non consegnare il menù al turista straniero sia ben studiata per poter essere svincolati dai prezzi ivi riportati...sospetto che diventa certezza quando, alla richiesta del conto, la gentile (o furbetta, a questo punto) signora che ci ha servito scarabocchia due numeri su un foglio sino a tirare fuori una cifra del tutto sproporzionata alla quantità di quanto da noi consumato...48 euro per ciò che vedete in foto (verdure bollite, insalata di polpo alquanto scarna e sei acciughe marinate), oltre a due birre medie e a un frappè. Unica, magra, consolazione: aver pagato con la carta (dopo discreta attesa del capo famiglia, evidentemente unico depositario del POS), sì da evitare, oltre al furto, una totale...
