This place is truly a gem. The epitome of Greek hospitality! My family of 5 at there last night and we were welcomed in by a wonderful gentleman- the owner- who immediately shared a small taste of his own home made wine with us before we were seated. The wait staff was very attentive and kind. A lovely lady, the other owner I believe, made great suggestions on the menu. I ended up choosing the Octopus in wine sauce- it was delicious! My children ordered the carbonara, and the serving size was huge! After we ordered we were given (on the house) a delightful appetizer, it was basically phyllo dough filled with an incredible mushroom mixture. I would go back just for that dish alone! The seafood was fresh and the prices were extremely reasonable.
At the end of our meal we were offered desserts, but we declined as we were so stuffed and had food left over! They ended up bringing us watermelon anyways. We were ready to head out and the owner surprised us with some delectable desserts to take back to our hotel to eat later! Of course I had to try a bite as soon as we were home, and once again- delicious!!
This was such a lovely experience. I don’t think I have ever felt more welcomed or spoiled in any of the restaurants we have visited on our trip. I would give this place 10 stars if I could- not just for the food, but for the beautiful people that...
Read moreThe most rediculous restaurant in Naxos, in my opinion. Me and my boyfriend sit down to order breakfast. We order one club sandwich, really quick and coffee. We tell the waitress that we are in a hurry (we had 35 mins until the boat for koufonisia left) We wait, get our coffee after a while, and we see that she is doing lots of other stuff that can definitely wait. We start to get annoyed that we haven't gotten our sandwich, and then: we see that she is starting to make our club sandwich!! After all the time she wasted. At this point we have 10 minutes until the boat leaves (2 min walk distance), and we have to tell her to hurry. I understand that this might have been her first day or something, but man what we got you cannot call a sandwich. The bread was not toasted, what was on it was tiny bit salad, ham, cheese and tomato. It was a mess! I had to run for the boat so my boyfriend had to recieve it, if it was me I would have gotten my money in return, because that was one lousy ass sandwich. Never going back here again, and I feel like they owe me 7 euros! Wish I took...
Read moreFantastic seaside family run tavern right on Agia Anna Port. Multiple beaches to your left and right.
Superior location right on the corner of the bus stop too.
Koola(?) Head Mama in charge, Sorry if I misspelled your name..runs a beautiful and quite large traditional restaurant right on the beach.
Amazing service # 1.
The Greeks really know how to make you feel at home and truly taken care of. Loved the family pictures on the walls.
Food delicious! 10/10 Made with love!
Fresh from the ocean I had Grilled sardines with local grown potatoe fries, and a Greek salad with Naxian cheese.
Accompanied by olive oil, bread, and special fish sauce. Finished with dessert.. I enjoyed the sweet, black seeded watermelon.
This is a light lunch but served to fill me up.
Washed it down with a local draft beer called Mythos.
All while, I was watching the blue crystal waters of the Aegean Sea.
A must...
