I must say that I would have expected more sympathy, friendliness and even common sense. the food is medium range, neither high nor low, which is fine, prices a little inflated. but the worst thing was the service because we ordered a salad without tomato (being intolerant) and on the menu it was without tomato. and it must have contained some carrots (which you couldn't even find if you looked with a magnifying glass. moral of the story salad arrived full of tomatoes and obviously without carrots. the owner's response? carrots are grated 🤦🏻♂️ but they weren't even powdered let alone grated. and that tomatoes are in all salads but this was not the case because the specific salad was without tomatoes. I worked for years and years in the kitchen and I know how it works and the correct thing to do was to admit the mistake since it was obvious and return the dish without batting an eyelid and above all apologizing since I was intolerant to tomatoes. instead of replying angrily and that the salad is just like that. remember, the customer is always right and as I said I worked for years in catering and I know how to behave, because restaurants like this only go ahead thanks to tourists and therefore you don't care about treating people well because one goes and one goes she comes, but if it was in a small, non-touristy town and she behaved like this I can tell her in a month and she could easily close. I hope you took this message as advice and not as an offense. good life...
Read moreMy favorite place in Naxos! My husband and I had late lunches here 3 times already. It’s right on the beach so the vibe is pretty relaxing. The owner of the restaurant is so kind and I love his sweet helpers (Foxy and Marlon Brando)! Plus the kitties that like to hangout sometimes. Let’s talk about the food. If you’re looking for delicious seafood or just amazing food in general, this is the place to be. The grilled sea bass is always cooked to perfection, saganaki, shrimp saganaki and the pork souvlaki slaps, the dolmadekia is so addictingly good, the grilled octopus is delicious and you can’t beat that fresh orange juice. Seriously, come for the OJ and stay...
Read moreMy wife and I came upon this taverna while staying at one of the beach hotels and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and felt it was quite reasonably priced. Over a period of few days we kept coming back, and tried various Greek salads, saganaki, seafood dishes and sausage. We found the dishes quite authentic-Greek in the recipe and preparation, and the ingredients fresh. The saganaki, Greek salad and seafood we tried were especially enjoyable. As we learned this is a small family business and Manolo was always friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this Taverna and would return again...
