Georgia Mare — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Ok this will be lengthy as we absolutely loved loved loved this place!! Staff: Spiros and family are incredible! Such positive energy and willing to go the extra mile at a moments notice. Contactable 24 hours a day. Super helpful with anything you need. Suggested amazing restaurants and activities. Rooms: comfy beds, clean, lots of additional touches….price was not spared here. AC cooked room down quickly. Shower water warm almost instantly and we were on top floor. Didn’t hear any of our neighbours even once. Hotel: great location, secure, different wifi on each floor to increase connectivity strength, very clean and fresh looking. Everything has been thought of, for example our flight wasn’t til later than evening, we needed to check out but wanted to hit the beach first. Of course they had thought of that too and had a small room set aside for a shower and change before we needed to head to the airport….available to us all day. Unreal. Breakfast, included for free, was soooo much better than any other hotel. From the standard bread, fruit, meats, to these unbelievable savoury pastry creations that were different each day. We mentioned we loved this one pineapple dessert….Spiros immediately offered us one from back kitchen lol, and was sure to include it in the next day’s selections as well. Spent a lovely week at Georgia Mare from June 6-14, 2024 and stayed in the family suite which consisted of 2 closed bedrooms and a bathroom. Our room was on the first floor right by the reception desk. Spiros is the most gracious and kind person we encountered. Arranging for taxi pick up at the ferry and drop off at the airport. Always available to answer any questions and anything you needed. Stella is a gem, her smile lights up the room. Our room was cleaned daily and the whole property is well maintained. Great WiFi had no issues. The breakfast had lots of choices and had something for everyone. You must try the Naxian yogurt and cheeses and the warm baked goodies. The walk to downtown was about 10-15 minutes and had great restaurants and bars. The beach is right down the street. Hotel provided beach towels ! Easy to take city bus to other beaches close by which i highly recommended. Highly recommend staying at Georgia Mare , great value for money and great hospitality. Hope to see you again soon Spiros. The location is great step away from Agios Giorgos beach which is one of the better beaches on the isalnd, as well as only a few minutes walk from the port area. The staff is incredibly helpful and hospitable. They provide a delicious breakfast with a variety of items. This breakfast is not just good for a hotel breakfast its as good as any breakfast on the island. They have a kitchen staffed by two Greek ladies who make many of the breakfast items. I do not ever eat hotel breakfast but I ate breakfast there every day of my stay. The rooms are well kept meaning the paint, flooring, doors, drapes, restroom, and linens all look new. The bed is a big single mattress not two twin beds pushed together (which is very common in Europe) the pillows were large and full not a nearly empty pillow case with some sort of stuffing inside of it (also very common in Europe). I cant say enough great things about this place and will certainly book my stay here...
