Iliovasilema Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

No idea if it was because it was early in the season, but the service and especially the food were poor. The restaurant was busy, everyone was there to see the sunset. We asked for chicken souvlaki, but were told it was sold out. We asked for 2 chicken fillets instead, and surprisingly, it was still on the menu. I really have no idea how they thought they could sell this as chicken! It was reconstituted and compressed chicken, like you would expect in kids' chicken nuggets. Excellent view day and night. The service great and the people friendly. The food very good and the portions very decent. A little bit high on salt the food but not extreme. Most people won't notice. A bit pricey but we have to consider that all ingredients reach the island at a higher price than mainland and that the tourist season is short. I complain about very chewy lamb chops and got reply „if you are not experience in greece with lamb chops you shouldnt order”- i come To Greece every year and lamb chops are one of my fav dish- and this by far were the worst.
