Firoa Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Communication was easy and we were welcomed at the harbour by friendly Dimitris, owner and manager of the accomodation. He drove the luggage to the parking close to the studios, while a colleague of his took us on foot to the not far away studios, thus we also got to know the way for future walks to the village and the beach.||||The rooms have names instead of numbers, thus we got the 'Koumaria' (meaning strawberry tree, which grows on the island). It was in the middle of a group of three and the only one with a window at the front. What was less good was the fact, that when sitting on the terrace, the guests at the two other studios could always look at us. Thus not much privacy.||||The studio though was quite big. The bed was good and there was enough storage space. It also had a kitchen and a sofa. The bathroom was basic and with no curtain by the shower the whole floor got quite wet. At least the water pressure and mixing worked well. Guests coming here must be aware that no shampoo or showergel is provided, just a liquid soap by the washbasin. There is no room service, but on the third day towels get exchanged and the baskets emptied.||||The WiFi code is not given with check-in nor is it mentioned anywhere in the room. Luckily we still found Dimitris outside on the same day, so he could write the password onto a piece of paper for us. The next day he was away all day and there is no contact given, so two Swedish ladies, who had just arrived, were happy that we could tell them...

Excellent choice of accommodation in Donousa! The apartments are surrounded by nicely landscaped gardens with views of Stavros village, 5 min walk from the beach/village offering a quiet and serene stay. ||||The rooms are nicely decorated, well maintained with large comfortable beds. Cleanings standards are excellent and both ladies who clean/iron are very friendly and helpful. Upon our request, they happily washed some of our clothes/towels. They even dried the washing and left it, all folded up in our room. ||||Finally, Dimitris, is an excellent, friendly host who checks daily his customers' needs and is available to assist in any way.||||I would definitely return to Firoa Studios and would highly recommend it to anyone...

We stayed at Firoa Studios from june 25th to july 4th 2018 (9 nights). Fortunatly, we were able to book there three days before our coming from Icaria island for six days and decided to extend our stay for three more nights because life in Donoussa is so refreshing and peaceful! Dimitri, our host, welcomed us like family. Picking us at the port, he made us right at home, and a beautiful one. Very well maintained, well decorated, beautiful sea and village view, a garden in between, Dimitri even offered us vegetables and spices from the garden.
