Ive ordered greek salad. In the big menu just in front of the restaurant, where there are salades was written: from our fields. I asked if the veggies r really from their fields, the guy said he cant tell but its fresh made. Yeah well.. ok the salad came and it tastet almost like nothing, and they forgot the onion in the salad, so i brought it back to the kitchen. Without feta, olives and capares, the salad wouldnt have any taste. And the waitress first began to tell me, that she is greek and that she knows whats an original greek salad, but when she realized that onion was missing, she brought it back to the kitchen and then back to me. Instead of saying sorry or offering me an ouzo after a dinner of 16.-! Euros salad 10.-! 6.-! for 0,3 beer what didnt taste far as good as mythos beer, i thought a sorry or an offering on that price-level would have been expected at least. But no sorry no ouzo bye and for sure i...
Read moreAfter walking by all the bars/restaurants of the beach we chose to go to Banana for the nice chilling out music, the good menu, and the long chairs that looked comfy enough. The good thing is that you don't need to rent the long chairs as long as you consume for at least 15€ per person. The food is rather on the pricey side so that's not difficult to do. We went for Hindi and Naxos signature cocktails that were quite good and about 13€ each. The carpaccio was 19€ and nothing special...it was quite watery in fact. A group of guests on the long chairs were enjoying themselves being very loud and others were smoking. It's tough to relax with noise and smoke when you are not a smoker. I wished some people were more considerate and that the waiters and waitresses had some more control over what happens in...
Read moreWe had cocktails here on the previous night and came down for a sunset drink and evening snack the next day. Got there at 4pm and negotiated free sunbeds as long as we spent 20 euros which we blew on the first round of cocktails! It’s a very cool bar, comfy loungers well made cocktails - they made me a tequila sunrise even tho it wasn’t on the menu. But the best part was the service provided by a really helpful and cheerful German waitress (sorry I didn’t get your name). After a couple more drinks (incl a nice Rose) on our beds we got a burger and Naxian Fries and watched the sunset. FYI they share a kitchen with the next door Patatosporos restaurant so the food is really good. Conclusion: Cool bar. Great service, food and drinks which you can have inside or on the beach...
