Naxian Terra — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

A true hidden gem. Superb restaurant on grounds of Villa Marandi. The outdoor seating amid stone walls and landscaped grounds creates a true villa atmosphere. On our trip, love it as we do, we were tired of Greek restaurant after Greek restaurant basically serving the same dishes. We wanted something different. Naxian Terra fit the bill. Their chef is very talented. He goes beyond. Has a modern twist on Greek dishes but also very different dishes. They also have amazing fresh fish that they bring around and you can choose from. The bartender is a genius. He is warm, engaging and so interesting to talk with. He makes pretty much any cocktail you can think of. If you’re not sure, tell him what you like and he’ll make something up. They had so many kinds of ingredients and fresh juices. (Very unique for an island with limited supply options). He made incredible mocktails from scratch for my kids with freshly blended fruit purées and passion fruit floating in the drink. The service is great and attentive.
