Where do I begin?
When we arrived there the waiters announced a different price to my foreign boyfriend and when I appeared the conditions suddenly changed. We were asked to pay for the umbrellas in cash, coughs-tax evasion. Typically Greek. We were often waiting for the waiter who spent a lot of his time on his phone. The coffee was nice though and I started changing my mind.
Until the time of the payment arrived. I was told an inexplicably high price so I asked for the receipt. And I saw that I was charged an extra 15€ for something I never ordered. An item with a vague name which I wouldn’t have recognized if I hadn’t actually gone through the entire receipt. I told the waiter and he didn’t even apologize. He just handed me the money and left. Of course the 20€ I paid for the set of sunbeds went straight to his pocket as well and were not in the receipt.
Oh and of course it’s not this place’s fault but the beach might look sandy but the entrance to the sea is mostly an algae covered rock which is very dangerous if it’s wavy.
I’d stay away from these scammers. I really regret the money I paid there. These people should really feel ashamed doing this to fellow Greeks or anyone. We know exactly why you are doing what...
Read moreIt was such a great experience. Being Greek, I know good Greek cuisine, and the food here was truly amazing. I brought my boyfriend with me from New York, and since it was his first time in Greece, I wanted it to be special. The service really made the night — Anastasia, Cici, and the entire staff were so warm and attentive, and that meant a lot to us.
They even let us sample some of their wines to make sure the pairing worked perfectly with our meal, which was such a thoughtful touch. Since we were on the island, we went straight for the seafood — the grilled calamari was so good we had to order it twice! We also had the grilled octopus and shrimp saganaki, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with that combination.
It ended up being such a memorable night for both of us, and I’m already looking forward to going back. Truly so grateful to the staff for making us feel so welcomed. Thank tu guys again...
Read moreWe liked the look of the place and went therefore dinner, after a long beach day. It is right in the beach and perfect for observing sunsets on Naxos. Ordered giant prawns in a sauce as an appetiser (to share) and grilled octopus and meat balls as our mains. Annoyingly the food took 40 minutes to appear and came all at once. I don't like eating prawns with my beef. Waiter was quite off-hand with our annoyance. As the food arrived, so did the flies, which added to our disappointment. My meatballs were fine. But my wife's octopus was overdone, so a little tough. No wine by the carafe, just bottles or by the glass. It wasn't great. All-in-all, not good value as compared to other meals on Naxos - but the sunset was...
