I highly recommend avoiding this place.** The service is absolutely terrible and unprofessional, and the attitude of the owners (as we understood, they were the owners) was appalling.
We were passing by and decided to grab a bite at this "restaurant," though it's more of a café at best. We were seated quickly, and our order arrived promptly (the only positive aspect).
We ordered a gyros, feta, and 2 cocktails (totaling €30). One of the cocktails was horrible. It was a "Sex on the Beach" (€9), but it tasted like a glass of vodka with a small amount of juice. Honestly, it was undrinkable. We informed the waitress, but she refused to listen, turned her back on us, and walked away without resolving the issue. We didn’t drink the cocktail and wanted to discuss either replacing it or not paying for it. When the waitress returned with the bill, we had just placed €20 on the table and tried to explain again that the cocktail was undrinkable, asking if we could avoid paying for it. She took the €20, turned around, and left without a word or explanation (reminder: the total bill was €30, and we were still unsure whether the cocktail would be replaced, waived, or what the next step was). We were confused, unsure if anyone would communicate with us or what was happening. We wanted to negotiate in good faith, as simply leaving felt wrong, though in hindsight, we should have just walked away.
Then the owner approached, yelling, flailing his arms, and arguing that he was older (not sure how that’s relevant 🙄). He didn’t even attempt to understand the situation or listen to us. It was absurd 🫠.
Did the issue get resolved? No! He forced us to pay for the horrible cocktail we hadn’t even drink!
This was beyond unprofessional, it ruined our mood, and there was zero communication from the owners to the customers. We’ve never experienced such treatment at any establishment in Corfu or other countries.
Regarding the service: the table wasn’t even covered with a tablecloth, although others were. We had to ask to be seated at a covered table, as eating on a bare table wasn’t pleasant. When we asked the waitress about the portion sizes of the dishes, she simply said, "I don't know." The “waitress” cleared the table and left. We had to move our own food and drinks.
As for the food, it wasn’t particularly tasty, and we couldn’t even finish it, but it was okay enough that we didn’t complain and, of course, paid for it. The cocktail, however, was impossible to drink.
I believe reasonable owners would at least listen to their customers and at best, resolve the issue to avoid leaving such a negative impression of themselves and their business. Getting offended by honest criticism is simply unprofessional.
I recommend that this place work on its service, as negative impressions spread faster than positive ones. I advise everyone to visit other nearby establishments instead of...
Read moreUncustomer-friendly attitude from the owners. We asked for the bill. After it was brought to us, we placed part of the money for the order and calmly asked if it would be possible not to pay for the unpleasant cocktail (we literally took only a couple of sips and we were talking about that tasteless cocktail to the waitress earlier.). After that, the waitress silently took the money and left (we had €9.50 left to pay—almost the price of the cocktail). We sat there, not understanding what to do next—whether to leave, since the money for the bill had been taken immediately after we asked the question, or to check if everything was fine and if we could leave. In the end, we asked, which caused the owner to get emotional, and he demanded we pay the remaining €9.50, ignoring our words about what happened with the waitress and the payment. He refused to discuss the poorly made cocktail and only said that it’s impossible for the cocktail to be bad, demanded the money, and told us to leave.
In the end, the evening and money...
