Dixtia Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

You can skip this place. We called and asked if we could order take-away so we could eat at our own place. They said yes, we started ordering and then he said we had to come and order it at the restaurant.. (then you might as well eat there, since you have to wait?) When I got there the person I talked to didn't seem to understand my order, turns out they didn't cause they forgot to add extra chips so I had to come back (yep, didn't get to eat together with my partner cause the food would've gotten cold.) And when the waiter said I had to pay 4 euros for the chips I was flabbergasted because what we had already gotten was so little, not worthy of 17 euros. He showed me the menu to proof the price, but he also said the souvlaki had some salad next to it, but there wasn't. The fries and souvlaki were put in the same box and were drowning in the grease/oil of the meat, so my partner didn't enjoy them. They didn't even say sorry for getting the order wrong.. While I was waiting for my food I saw the small portions on the plates, there was no ambience there and no vegetarian options. All the restaurants have a view of the sea, just go to any other.

Update: I see that the owner is saying I visited another place based on the photos. More proof of the fact that they dont understand the English language (something useful for tourists). My reviews clearly states we ordered in, the pictures are taken at the apartment where we were staying. Seriously, do yourself a favor, just go to any other...

Just to clarify what my partner (Michelle) wrote as the restaurant's reply is nonsense (presumably about other people). We attended the restaurant at 1915. A table was made for us with the proviso we move tables by 2030 for another booking (fair). We questioned whether we could still get some of the options from the menu finishing at 1800. He initially said yes to one item, so we were clarifying which others the kitchen could still do for us. He then spontaneously lost patience and snatched the menus from us; did not let us order drinks/appetizers/nothing. Not sure what the further response will be now, but I'd suggest it's not a coincidence there are several poor reviews, particularly re his impolite nature. A big shame as all other experiences in Greece (have been here for over a month) have been great/friendly....

Overlooking the overpriced average food, we had a nice lunch. Well at least until we had an experience with one of the workers, which I’m assuming was part of the management. He figured out we where tourist, proceeded to ask where we stay in corfu, we innocently told him where, which is far away- meaning we won’t be able to come back and demand a refund.❗️ We as always, offered 10% tip (even though he wasn’t our servant), he asked for 20% tip!!!! Again, we innocently agreed for 15% out of inconvenience. But that’s it right? No. I’ve accidentally noticed my apple pay charges and seen he charged us TWICE.❗️❗️❗️ ONCE full price for our whole meal. SECOND TIME full price + 20% TIP.
