We had a nice diner in this restaurant, but it was quite touristic and completely overpriced. Also not really well-cooked. The presentation and atmosphere were nice, although somewhat pretentious. If you compare the food to the best restaurant in Crete, the famous Peskesi restaurant, which isn't really more expensive than the Delfini, you experience two completely different universes. Where in Peskesi fantastic food and great Service are celebrated, you experience the famous greek hospitality at its best, you find none of that at the Delfini. Actually, you find much better food at the Blue Lagoon restaurant nearby (which we also tried). We certainly wouldn't comeback to the Delfini, but for one night it was ok. Although half of my squid was overcooked, and the medium ordered grilled Tuna was completely overcooked. We liked the black rice though. (The bread was quite cheap as well from the supermarket). We took the "most expensive" wine on the menu, and it was quite nice, but they charged at least the triple price of the original price, which is way too much for my liking and again a sign for a touristic place, which only expects people to come once or twice (at most) during holidays. Also, there was nothing on the house. This is something you don't find in any restaurant in Crete for example and also in most restaurants we tried in Corfu. Again, a strong sign for a touristic place and not a "real"...
Read moreA nice restaurant, but what a shame about the staff—A BIG SHAME. I've never seen such rudeness in my life. We entered the restaurant as a group of 24 people to have a coffee, juice, etc., with the idea of eating later. As soon as we entered, the manager came over and started arranging where we should sit, even though the restaurant was empty. We tried to explain that we didn't want to sit at one large table despite our number, as we preferred to sit separately at different tables, but he started to get angry, saying we couldn't do whatever we wanted in his restaurant because it was his place and we'd sit where he said. We would have complied if this rule had been posted somewhere. If you called consumer protection, they would have said the same thing. Then he started threatening to call the police and kick us off the beach, telling us to clear out the sunbeds because he's the boss and we can't do what we want. This group included families and babies, and leaving the beach at 12-1 PM with babies in this heat was out of the question. Not to mention that they are racist. Apparently, Greeks now have an issue with Romanians filling their islands. Disgusting, unprofessional, and insulting. I don't recommend this place to anyone who wants to do as they please to relax. He couldn't care less about us according to the manager because he has 'thousands' of clients. This restaurant has its...
Read moreWe made the trip to Delfini Restaurant along some narrow, winding roads, but it was absolutely worth it for the experience. Upon arrival, however, we were a bit let down. The menu turned out to be different from the one listed on their official website, and the waitress started our visit by listing everything they didn't have—unfortunately including the calamari and octopus we were especially looking forward to.
That said, every dish we did end up ordering was excellent and quickly made us forget our initial disappointment. The baked feta wrapped in crunchy filo was the best we had during our stay in Corfu—perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The tzatziki also stood out, unanimously voted the best by our group.
The food quality was high across the board, and paired with the restaurant's stunning beachfront view and friendly service, it turned out to be a lovely dining experience. Just be prepared for a slightly different menu than expected, and you’ll likely...
