I went here with two friends. Our first impression was lovely. A pretty little spot, cozy looking and inviting, is what caught our attention walking by. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I loved almost every single thing I read on the menu and unfortunately didn’t like a single thing we were served. A list of all we ordered and what we got: Jasmine Tea - too strong, thus not enjoyable. Matcha Latte - seeing it being served, I already knew it wouldn’t be good. Again, way too strong and leaving a furry feeling in mouth and lips after first sip. Not even close to the comforting Matcha Latte I was expecting. Acai Bowl - unlike any Acai Bowl I have ever had. Huge chunks of frozen fruit that were very unexpected. Huge chunks of, what was that?! cake? No taste of actual Acai traceable. Avocado Toast - inedible, sadly. Didn’t taste like fresh Avocado but more like a spread that had been pre-made, including a very dominant seasoning that left no room for tasting the actual avocado. I had one bight, had my friends try and that was that. The dish went back barely touched. Service, after clearing our full plates, didn’t bother to mention or ask us what was wrong with our meal. She couldn’t care less. To be fair, we didn’t say anything either. Not what one would expect of these dishes, anywhere in the world. I sincerely hope you improve on all mentioned above as I would love to come back next year and enjoy your lovely cafe, as well as good,...
Read moreCame to Rubiks twice during my stay in Patras and was delighted to find a very healthy and delicious spot to go to for brunch. Due to a sports competition I had to adhere to a keto diet and had no problems sticking to it here!
My first meal here was the omelette with the Ceylon OP tea on the side. The omelette was made with very fresh ingredients and I enjoyed the mushrooms that I had added to it the most (turkey, peppers and avocado as well). The green salad on the side was also yummy and the Ceylon tea was perfect to bring it all down.
My second time coming, I ordered the Poke Bowl for lunch. The poke bowl was absolutely delicious and filling (I ordered extra protein and it was well worth it). The sauce was amazing and wasn’t too salty. They had no problem accommodating my request to remove the rice for more greens. Also tried an Espresso Fredo for the first time on the side and it too was great!
We even got one of the peanut butter jars to go and that has been creamy and fantastic.
All in all Rubiks has been one of my favourite places in Patras to eat, guilt free. The staff was also extremely helpful and friendly. The overall vibe and atmosphere of the cafe is also a nice touch and cozy.
I just wish I was able to try their delicious looking bowls, breads, pancakes...
Read moreMy vegan family of five ate here after visiting Patras Castle. It was a delicious meal and we enjoyed everything that we ate. My favorite was the gnocchi. The chimichurri burger was also very tasty. My kids loved the choco pancakes and gingerbread porridge. Breakfast is thankfully available all day. There are several other dishes that I would have loved to have tried. All of the vegan options are very clearly marked.
We arrived at 3:30 and the restaurant was very busy. Service was rather slow and some in our group waited much longer for their food than others. The music was a bit too loud in my opinion too. Overall, it's cute and the food was excellent so I definitely...
