Food was decent, and view is great but I wouldn't go back. 2 stars is generous First of all it's as if they have never dealt with someone who wanted a table for 1. nearly 2 hours for 2 courses is fine for couples or groups. This would be fine if you got the impression they were looking after you but I was just forgotten for bigger parties. The guy running the place seemed to be more concerned with anything else but work and when he did when 1 waiter made a mistake I genuinely thought he would throw a punch. The waiter seemed terrified. Led to a bad atmosphere, which another party I overheard saying the same thing. When I was there for nearly 2 hours and waiting 25 mins with desert menu. I asked for the bill. It was obvious I was annoyed and they offered me a free beer as I was getting up to leave. I refused I had enough plus no desert and when I did refuse the waiter got annoyed. There is so much more wrong with this place from staff shouting across the restraunt and 1 particular staff member I could have sworn was half drunk. The reviews are excellent and so are the views. The foods not bad either. But don't come here solo, by my experience you are just taking up more space than your worth. Definitely my worst experience in Crete after a week and also worse in Greece after at least half a dozen trips to various locations. I was absolutely blown away by the food here and the view from the restaurant is amazing, adding to the whole experience. It was recommended to us by some friends and true to hype it was :) we called in to reserve(they are fully booked most of the time) and since it is quite a steep walk up the hill with a stroller under the hot sun, they were nice enough to send a cab(free of charge) to fetch us from the hotel. Service at the restaurant was extremely good, they were friendly and attentive. They have taken kids entertainment to the next level, there was a dedicated sitter who was there to look after the kids playing in the play room and she was very nice and competent. Coming to the food, the trilogy of Greek dips was excellent especially the aubergine dip. The lamb shank was the best that I have ever had, so tender that it melted right in my mouth. My wife had the mamas chicken and that was also very tasty. They gave us just a side of fries(which was not really on the menu) for the little one when we asked so that was great. Sehr schönes Lokal mit unglaublicher Aussicht und sehr gutem Essen Due to the good reviews in TripAdvisor, my wife and I visited the restaurant on June 19, 2021. Our expectations were high, but they were far exceeded. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, Dimitri, and accompanied to a table on the balcony. The first impression regarding the view almost blew us away. You have a wonderful view over Platanias, the sea to the offshore island. Fantastically beautiful !!!!!!!! When it comes to eating, we essentially relied on the recommendation of Alex the owner and chef, which turned out to be a complete success. We had the mussels in a delicious sauce as a starter, the grill plate and a moussaka as the main course. It was not only good in taste but also very nicely presented, but …… .. unfortunately way too much due to the large portions. The service is quick and attentive. All employees are extremely friendly. Overall a very pleasant experience. The price is slightly higher than the other restaurants in Platanias, but still a clear recommendation!

We are back with friends on July 11th, 21st. We are already looking forward to it
