Restaurant Natura — Restaurant in Municipality of Pylos and Nestor

Right in front of Gialova beach (a few km north of Pylos) fronting Navarino Bay, site of the famous naval battle.

The menu is merely ok but the location more than makes up for it. The sandy beach is right in front of the seating area and it has umbrellas and chairs. The seating area is outside with trees providing shade. On my August visit it was sunny and 36 with a light breeze and it was nice, cool & comfortable under the shade while we had an early supper.

In the bottom corner of the menu are what I consider the best items on the menu. The home made oven cooked traditional Greek meals - moussaka, dolmades, gemista and stuffed eggplant. We had the dolmades (leaves stuffed with rice and ground meat served with an egg lemon sauce and a dollop of yogurt) and the gemista (tomatoes and green peppers stuffed with rice and ground beef with a tomato based sauce). Paired with a horiatiki salad they were delicious (skip the linguine on the menu).

2nd visit on day later:

Minus one star because table needed to be cleaned by ourself and ordered KIDS portion of pasta was charged the whole price of 13 euro (it was also delivered a whole portion, but at the end, it wasn't what we're ordered / what was promised)!

What to expect: Luxurious Eating in stunning ambiente. Just wow!

Everything was perfect. Good service from the beginning. Great Cocktails and best salad I ever had (with the chicken).

What to make better: Collect the dishes a little bit more often from the table. Ask a little bit more, if customers want to drink anything else - also good...

The restaurant is hosted in the hotel Zoe and is also offering the beach service at the sunbeds. The menu is basic but decent. There are some more elevated options in the menu further to the standard Greek mainstreams which we did find rather OKish. Next time we’ll stay with the mainstreams 🙂. The wine list is basic but complete. The restaurant‘s terrace is amazing and is recommended for both lunch ne dinner. Service is fast (sometimes too fast) and the People of the staff very attentive and pleasant. Overall nice experience both...
