Paradosi Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

The restaurant was relatively quiet, with a table of 8 and a couple of tables of 2, however we still had to wait 45 minutes for out starters to arrive. When they arrived, the 'fried squid rings' were in fact an entire squid (which had the smallest amount of batter on the head) whilst the rest remained uncoated; the squid was very tough and not at all pleasant. Our second starter of garlic bread was burnt and could not be eaten. One finished, we piled our plates and waited for our mains. TWICE a waiter walked past the table and ignored the plates and on one occasion asked if everything was ok and then dashed off without letting us explain why we had not eaten out starters. 40minutes later our starters still sat in front of us until finally cleared. We had ordered a drink during this time (still, plates ignored) which arrived 30minutes later. By this time we asked to pay for our starters and drinks instead of wait for the mains. We were instead told that nothing was wrong with our starters and 'we were wrong' and the delay had been because of how long it takes to cook the carbonara... After voicing our concerns the mains finally arrived. The carbonara was cold in the middle and had just two pieces of ham whilst the chicken skewer was pink and the veg that accompanied it contained sweetcorn and one single pea...Safe to say we did not stay for dessert and soon left hungry, disappointed and annoyed that they saw nothing wrong with the extremely poor service, disgusting food and pure incompetence (despite being quiet). Much better restaurants just minutes away from...

My family and I stumbled across this place when we walked up the strip in Faliraki. We decided to eat there as the menu caught our eye and it looked pleasant inside. We found a table quickly and was greeted by a friendly Greek man, who gave us all a menu each. After 10 mins or so he came over and took our order for both food and drinks. We waited about 35 mins for our drinks to arrive, we had all ordered soft drinks which were flat. We left it and thought that maybe the food might make up for the drinks as we had waited so long by now it had been almost an hour. The food finally arrived..... we had ordered 2 carbonaras, a chicken schnitzel and a chicken breast in pepper sauce. What a disappointment. Both carbonaras were stone cold which we sent back, only to be told he would make fresh, but we saw chef put both plates back into a pan and then re serve. The chicken schnitzel had blood clots running through it and was repulsive and to top it off the chicken in pepper sauce was over cooked and had a barbecue sauce over the top. We paid our drinks bill and left. Never to return. Absolutely disgusting food. If you stumble across this place, Keep on walking so many more nice places to eat where the food is...

Stunning restaurant/taverna, held by a family. Food is so good, we went again before leaving. Went to several places on the same street during our stay but this was by far the best! Food is all freshly made while you wait,so might be a bit longer then in some other places when busy but is so worth it, as it is all freshly cooked. We always ask to bring food as it made, so that it doesn't get cold waiting for the rest of the food. The service was outstanding. They have also made us food by request, as it's all made while you wait, most Greek dishes can be made by request. Overall brilliant, definitely will come back...
