Trilogia — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

It’s quite rare I’m writing negative reviews, but this time is exceptional, as Trigolia’s stuff was unbelievable.

Even though I ordered a vegan meal, they brought me a meat dish. As it was minced meat, I didn’t realise it at first and it turned out that I ate meat against my will.

When I called the waiter to inform about a mistake (in a nice way), she was very rude to me claiming that the meal I ordered was meat one (even though I ordered from a vegan section). Then they just picked up the dish and vanished without informing about the solution.

My partner’s meal got cold while waiting for the me. We had to stop the waiter to ask what’s going on and she was again replying in a rude way.

All in all, we picked up my partners food and left the place. The romantic evening was ruined and the manager didn’t even proactively apologised for the situation.

Even though the island is very quiet at the moment due to the Covod-19 crisis, there were quite some people who could find the restaurant, which usually means that the food and service are good.

I was not disappointed: the food is good, the portions are big and the prices are very reasonable. We were with 6 people and had 2 drinks each, we had starters and main course: we had to pay slightly more than €100. In Rhodos City we literally paid double this price for the same. Don't expect anything too fancy, but you will get good straightforward authentic Greek dishes.

The staff is genuinely friendly and show appreciation when receiving a tip. I would recommend others to visit...

Premesso che negli anni passati abbiamo girato in lungo e in largo la Grecia e i ristoranti greci, possiamo dire senza remore che questo è decisamente il migliore! Nonostante il Trilogia sia a 1,5 Km dal nostro albergo, sono tre sere di seguito che ceniamo qui e sicuramente ci torneremo ancora.

La cucina tradizionale è davvero superlativa: Gli antipasti sono divini (abbiamo adorato la feta con pasta phillo, miele e sesamo; e le polpette di formaggio); i secondi sono davvero abbondanti e cucinati con arte: la moussaka paradisiaca (sicuramente la migliore che abbiamo mangiato in Grecia); buonissima anche la grigliata mista; gustosissimo il gyros di maiale, i souvlaki di maiale. Viste le porzioni pantagrueliche risulta difficile arrivare al dolce: abbiamo assaggiato solo la baklava che è risultata perfetta come tutto il resto. La chiosa finale è un bicchierino di rosolio ghiacciato che viene omaggiato a fine pasto: un gusto di altri tempi davvero!

Il personale è davvero professionale, veloce, carino e gentile e parla anche un po’ di italiano. Anche il menù è in italiano! Non escludo che nelle prossime sere ci avventureremo anche nella cucina “alternativa” provando la pasta e le altre leccornie proposte… I prezzi sono invece anni ’80: si cena in due anche con 20€, ma volendosi strafogare è impossibile arrivare a spenderne più di 35. Il locale è sempre pienissimo ma con un po’ di pazienza troverete un tavolo. Se invece siete impazienti, potete sempre prenotare!

La posizione è centralissima: il Trilogia si trova sulla strada dove si affacciano tutti i ristoranti e i negozi e in un paio di minuti si può raggiungere anche la via con tutta la movida notturna!

In conclusione, perché vi consigliamo questo posto? Perché la qualità del cibo è fuori discussione; il prezzo davvero onesto; il personale gentile e attento (in particolare modo Anastasio che se la cava pure con l’italiano); i menù è in diverse lingue...
