La Esquina — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

We came on 22 may 2025. From bar to restaurant to the toilet is very beautiful and clean. Great place to sit back, and enjoy your evening. If you want to have one of the better cocktails on the island this is your place to go! Absolutely delicious and special cocktails, not like you are used to and they will take you on a journey of joy.

The waiter was very friendly and helpful, we asked to wait and drink 2 cocktails first before getting us our food. He did what he need to do and we got our food when we wanted it. Great job!

We took the sharing platter of appetizers and we were not sorry, almost everything they have was on it and tasted so good accompanied with the right sauces.

I took the mixed grill and my girlfriend the fried calamari, again we were blown away: I’m a big eater but this was oddly too much for me, but it tasted so good I was disappointed in myself for not being able to eat it all! The calamari is again not your ordinary calamari rings, it was the whole octopus!

We enjoyed our stay very much and you deserved this review like a lot. We came in may so the atmosphere was a bit on the calm side so that’s why I gave 4/5. It was off season but I think if you come in July-August this place must be trending with a lot of lovely people who will make it a even better time for sure.

Not the place for a Negroni! Slow - and we sent this back, to later be charged for this, and told ‘clearly you don’t know what the drink is meant to be like’. Well I can tell you this is the only drink my partner drinks and it’s from his native country… so trust me he knows. A better service would have been to offer to make the drink for him again and to his taste.. which he would have been happy to share. If that had been offered we would have made up the price difference in tips. Instead, we had to pay for it even though it was undrinkable, along with paying for the drink ordered in replacement - which became an uncomfortable experience when we questioned it when paying, due to the ‘big gun’ male waiters coming over after questioning it with the female waiters, rather than the female waiters being allowed to handle it themselves which came across as very threatening. The DJ was too loud for the clientele at the time and it seemed inappropriate to also be welcoming in families with young children late at night. My first time in Rhodes, this was our first full day and after exploring Afandou during the day we decided to go into faliraki for the evening and we were not disappointed with this restaurant, the service was great, we waited a little while for the main dishes but we didn't mind, it was busy bit gave us a chance to enjoy the town and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The main course was gorgeous! I had a mixed grille and everything was delicious... I could not finish it all, eyes bigger than my belly. My other half had the chicken souvlaki which looked just as good! Again she couldn't finish it all but we both really enjoyed our visit here and wouldn't definitely go back. really good valve for money!...
