I ate dinner here in october 2023. It was the end of the season so it wasn't crowded. We were seated quickly and given a menu. It took a while for someone to take our order but we ended up ordering a few starters: the bread with dips and fried saganaki. The pita bread was soft and warm. We were happy that it wasn't just stale bread.
The dips were also very delicious and the portions are good. You'll definitely be able to cover your bread royally in the dips. The fried saganaki was wonderful. Not too salty with a nice crispy outside.
For the mains we ordered the kleftiko and the mixed grill for 1. The portions are ok. Not small but also not big. The kleftiko came in filo dough and had many vegetables, herbs and some cheese. The lamb was super tender and full of flavour.
The mixed grill was a nice assortment of chicken, lamb, minced meat and pork. The dishes were served with fries and a salad. The portion of fries was a bit too small for my liking and the salad is nothing to write home about. It contained lettuce, cabbage and 1 tiny tomato. One of the smallest tomato I have ever seen sliced in two. I personally don't understand why most establishments in Greece treat vegetables like it's the most insignificant part of the meal.
All things considered, I was pleased with the food. The taste was nice, the portions were ok and the service was friendly. The price was also very decent. We paid a bit less than 50 euros including two non alcoholic drinks.
After we asked for the bill we were given some complementary pieces of fruit. Again, the service is really good. The restaurant also seemed to be favoured by the locals. All of the tables except for two were...
Read moreMyself and my partner wanted a nice little Greek restaurant one evening. After looking around on some Facebook groups this was highly recommended. It was around a 10min cab ride away from our Hotel and what a Gem of a restaurant.
Service - This was great it was being run by Dad and Daughter and they was working the tables really well. They was very welcoming. We got our drinks quickly and my girlfriend even said this was the best Mojito she ever had.
Food - The food was traditional (What we ordered) and was amazingly tasty I ordered a lamb dish and it was high quality lamb and my partner ordered a Chicken meze. The food came from the kitchen piping hot and the portion sizes was just right! Not to much food but not to little. If you are not looking for traditional food they have pizzas Italian dish and some more also.
Overall we had a really nice evening here and they was even nice enough to Ring us a taxi and then wait outside to flag them down. I love supporting family run places like this and I couldn’t recommend this enough to anyone! Please go and give this a go you won’t be...
Read moreWe stayed nearby for 10 days and ended up at Semi’s six times – that alone says it all! The food here is absolutely outstanding, probably the best we had during our holiday. Over our visits we tried so many dishes – kleftiko (twice because it was that good), moussaka, beef giouvetsi, sea bass, Greek salad, Greek pizza, souvlaki, gyros, bekri meze, halloumi, carbonara (also twice!), atherina, along with cocktails, sweet red wine, and frappes. Every single plate was fresh, full of flavor, and felt genuinely homemade.
What really sets Semi’s apart though is not just the food, but the hospitality. The staff are warm, welcoming, and generous, often bringing little extras that made the experience even more special. We always left happy, well-fed, and looking forward to the next visit.
If you’re anywhere near the area, don’t miss this place. Authentic Greek cooking at its very best, combined with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended – Semi’s made our holiday even...
