We went there 2 days ago for lumch during our stay at the beach. I ordered garlic shrimps and my husband fried squid. We waited 1h for the dishes. When we asked after 40mins about the order, the waitress said we chose dishes thst take the most time… we were not informed about it in the advance nor that waiting time is 1h. Also, some people who came after us and ordered the same dishes got them before us. Once the food arrived, we noticed that the squid was not fried but grilled. There was nobody around to ask for change of dish and nobody was interested in us. My husband took 1 bite of it but couldnt eat more as grilled squid is too chewy. After 20 mins the waitress finally came and ask if everything is ok. We said thar the squid is not fried but grilled. The waitress admitted that it is her fault and offered to bring correct dish for which we would have to wait 10 mins. After being in the restaurant 1.5h and only eating appetizer (farlic sheimps) we didnt want to wait as it already took out a lot of our beach time. We didnt get the fried squid and we still had to pay for it. They didnt remove it from the bill. The food might be good (we only tried shrimps which were good and grilled squid which my husband didnt like but he just doesnt like any grilled squid) but the service is not good, or maybe we were unlocky with...

However, our experience was somewhat dampened by the service. We also ordered a club sandwich, which unfortunately took too long to arrive. By the time it came, the wait had affected our overall enjoyment.
In summary, while the drinks were excellent, the slow service for the food was disappointing. Tsampikas Beach Bar has potential, but the service needs improvement to match the quality of...
Read moreThe only unfriendly people I’ve met on this island.
The place is split in two halves. When I arrived, one half was packed, the other half was close to empty.
I wanted a drink and a coffee, while waiting for the family to join me at the table. (They were bathing.)
“Drinks only? You’re not eating? Then you must go next door (the other half). This is the restaurant!”
Me: “Have you seen it? It’s full? No available tables?”
Guess what. She didn’t care, and was rude as well.
Well then. Bad review coming up, and no business from me. Loads of friendly places to have dinner on Rhodes, since this obviously isn’t...
