I strongly advise anyone considering this restaurant to think twice. It’s the biggest disappointment on the island, hands down.

While the location is fantastic, and the atmosphere seems inviting, it's all a facade — a pretty exterior with no substance behind it. I'll admit, I should've known better than to visit an Italian restaurant in Greece, and seeing an overly extensive menu should have raised a red flag. That one’s on me. I regret not walking away.

To the owner: I’m not here to incite drama, though your track record of responding aggressively to feedback is well-known. When I told you personally that the fish we were served was among the worst I've ever tasted—defrosted, likely multiple times, gray, and downright inedible—you responded with insults rather than addressing the issue. I literally had to spit it out. Your quick, defensive outburst didn’t improve my dining experience either.

No one is trying to destroy your business; you're doing that all on your own. Reviewers like myself are merely warning others to steer clear of these tourist traps. In this case, your establishment is at the top of the list.

Before you question my credibility, let me clarify: I’ve traveled extensively, dining everywhere from Thai markets and Brazilian beach shacks to Michelin-starred restaurants. Yet, your restaurant ranks as the worst experience I’ve ever had.

You claim to be a master chef with deep Italian roots, yet any guest who dares critique your hospitality or cooking is met with hostility. This is an insult to every hard-working restaurant owner out there.

To be honest it’s the first time that I am writing a negative review. The location it’s nice and the waiters really helpful. The manager or the owner I don’t know he’s is totally unprofessional. Very kind and sweet we just told him that the caprese had all the tomatoes super cold and that ok it’s summer but they were totally unripe. We clarify him that we want to pay and we are not making any scene. His answer was sarcastic that we have to wait for the frozen tomato to become warm and he is gonna ask to take back his money from the grocery shop. 2 pasta dishes came totally wrong. PERFECT DINNER! I was indecisive if I should give Porto Vecchio a try because the reviews are very mixed. But looking at the pictures everything looked very very nice, so I went with my gut feeling and was not disappointed. We had a rainbow salad, which was very crisp and fresh and even for 2 people sharing it, it was a very generous portion!
