Lepi Lepi — Restaurant in Municipality of Serifos

So, I go to this place as it was recommended. Went around 8 pm, no booking, place has good amount of empty tables. The waiter guy tells me “oh everything is booked, they should arrive as of now”, and shows me two options: a very unwanted table by the service desk on the beachside of seating area, or the totally empty restaurant patio. I asked whether it would be the same if i had a short seating, he says yes, i take the “stray cat table” by the service desk.

Ordered a starter with fried fennels (amazing, the lemon yogurt goes very well) and a langoustine orzo (again great, though there wasn’t a way to break the langoustine legs). But the problem is, the tables are still empty and even more tables get empty by this point. I ask the waiter guy what s the situation here, and he blank faced LIES! that “couldn’t it be the case that 4 tables did not show up”. I mean, we are talking about Serifos and beginning of season, weekday here, there isn’t even enough number of people to ditch a booking on the island!!

Luckily, it is only him that is rude, and the very helpful waitress Argyro suggests I finish my drink at a seaside table. I move tables, a little consolation with my wine (as I had already finished eating), and guess what, noone showed up to claim any of these tables for the rest of night.

All in all, good food yet a very entitled, rude male waiter. If you are in Argyro’s kind service, it is an amazing place. If the tall guy serves...

The food at LepiLepi was outstanding for a fantastic price. Our Greek friends with whom we are travelling around Serifos ordered for us, taking some of the hassle out of the evening. From the delicious array of appetisers such as fresh Fava and Taramosalata with hand cut potato and zucchini fries (especially yumm), grilled sardines and shrimps, octopus boiled then grilled and served with olive oil and vinegar (very tasty) to the main event which we chose fresh fish of the day grilled with potatoes and peppers. It really was a spectacular treat. Everything was prepared and cooked to perfection. Our servers were attentive and knowledgeable and we were proudly invited to the kitchen to see the fresh catch of the day to choose for our main. The kitchen and cooking areas were spotless and the team really great. I would happily visit LepiLepi again, and i will be sure to recommend it...

I'm not one to review lightly, & it takes somewhere special for me to comment ... Lepi Lepi is one of those special places! Set right on the waterfront on the bay at Livadi, with a contemporary and relaxing feel, I had seen the menu earlier in the day, liked it and made a reservation for the evening. On arrival, the table was set for us and there was a chalked tag with my name on it, which I thought was a nice welcoming touch! The service was excellent, efficient, friendly & courteous, and the menu selection was quite mouth watering! The presentation of the dishes were beautiful and the taste outstanding! After traveling the Greek Islands for 3 weeks, I can honestly say that this was the best meal, in the loveliest setting of our holiday so far ... 10/10! Ευχαριστώ πολύ,...
