Initially we were treated courteously and shown to our seats right next to the sea which was lovely. However the waiter was rude and not interested in serving us. I asked what type of fish was available - as we'd been told you will be asked to go and view the daily catch or they will bring the platter out to you. Our waiter offered neither, just pointed at the menu and said 'this one'. We later saw other waiters offer a choice to patrons. Other tables were offered bread - we werent given a choice in this either. The vegetables meant to come with the sea bream I ordered(25€) was nowhere in sight - had to ask for them - he eventually brought them over and dropped the dish on the table...no apologies just bad attitude. T
he table water put onto your table is not complimentary - which is fine, as wouldnt expect it to be free on a greek island but we said we did not want the water. They tried to charge us for the water but when questioned the bill the waiter was not happy - snatched the receipt away and practically threw the change at us. Suffice to say we did not leave a tip. Read moreI ordered fried zuchinni , amazingly crispy , freshly cooked and the tzatziki 1 of the best ( the garlic really hits the back of the throat and THAT is how tzatziki should be , whoever complains or don't like it , take a hike and order something else ). Also had the soutzoukakia , which after the suggestion of the waiter , came with patates fournou ( oven baked potatoes ) the meat was tender as and the potatoes to die for , they really made my eyes water , soft enough but not mashed , oily ( as it SHOULD be ) and with plenty of oregano and seasoning , reminding me the days back in 1973 when as a 13yo started cooking next to an incredible Chef who made me fall in love with cooking and food ever since. Highly recomended and congratulations to Takis , Chef Leonidas and the wait staff ... 10*...
Read moreNot a bad experience but not a stellar one either. I won’t be as hard as some of the comments I saw here. Food was very good (tzatziki, tarama, saganaki and 2 grilled scorpion fishes) and we had some rosé. Comparing with other restaurants we went in the region, it was definitely more expensive (rosé 500ml was 12€ vs 6€ in the restaurant just next to it… and it’s definitely the same quality) Service was good except for the guy managing the team and/or the restaurant. Very pushy to get additional food and to give at least 10% for service. I like to give extra money for service when deserved, not when I’m ask (and almost forced) to do it. Restaurant was half empty. Hard to tell if it’s because they have lots of tables or because of reviews...
