Read moreThe food was good based on local and Greek oriented recipes and somehow a little innovative, but nothing exceptional. However the disappointment comes in relation to the wine. The wine list given is a joke. Someone should advise them about wines, wine lists and what wine cava is about. One of the reasons we went there, was about wines and their wine selection. Their wine list is very limited and most of their wines were price more than €50 while their most expensive main dish was less than €25. So the ratio average price of wine to average price of main dish is more than 3:1. If I remember only two wines were around €35. Their recipes and the type of cooking don't justify so expensive wines no matter how good they are. That evening we were the only ones having wine. Most were having beer. They also had a house wine but they had no idea about variety and it's characteristics. At the end we paid close to €200 for four persons because €75 were the two bottles of wines. Also the desserts were very good. I advise them to work a lot on the wine part of their business and to get some knowledge about wine. Having bottles of €100 and €150 each on the wine list without a basic description about the wine, it's a mistake. Nobody with such a menu will order such an...
This place was our absolute best meal in Sifnos as well as anywhere in Greece.
It was quite busy so I would recommend booking for dinner. But that being said, we showed up without a reservation and they managed to seat us right away and we’re very accommodating.
Every single thing we ordered was incredible. We had the boar steak for a main as well as their shrimp pasta with some local flavors. We literally licked the plates clean it was so good.
Just when we thought it couldn’t possibly get better, we ordered dessert and were absolutely blown away. The basque cheesecake was incredible. We had the opportunity to try basque cheesecake at the original place to make it in San Sebastián Spain, and this one was as good if not better.
We also had the banoffee which was good too but in fairness paled in comparison to the amazing cheesecake.
The prices were fair, the service was solid, lovely little location, and the quality of the food cannot be beat. Do not miss out trying this spot if you find...
Read moreCall it culinary Greek with local flair with a good wine selection. And a view which we missed the twilight still the lights and road down to center Apollinia and through the valley provided ample atmosphere to go with the shallow deep blue pool outside the main dining area that was glassed off from the Cycladic winds.
The signature salad was a flavorful blend of fruits, nuts, cheese and greens. The sagnaki subbed traditional cheese and lemon with a salsa and local Manouri cheese. The sweet pepper pesto eggplant was superb and the main courses were well portioned with great flavors leaving us with leftovers. Three of us sampled the Pork filled in a dried fig creamy wine sauce, the chicken on a skewer and the sirloin steak all of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Opt for the rice over the fried potatoes and leave room for dessert. We were stuff and split the cheese cake which didn't look like ones photographed yet was classic in taste, texture,...
