Ta Kymata in Neos Marmaras has been our absolute favorite fish restaurant for more than 15 years, and every visit reminds us why. From the very first time we came here, the charm of this place, the unbeatable quality of the food, and the warm, family-like service captured our hearts.
The menu offers the freshest fish and seafood, always perfectly cooked, along with authentic Greek dishes that taste like they’ve come straight from a home kitchen. Portions are generous, flavors are rich, and you can truly taste the care in every bite.
What makes Ta Kymata so special is its consistency. Over the years, nothing has changed in the best possible way — the same friendly faces greet us, the same high standards are maintained, and the same magical atmosphere by the sea is there to enjoy. The staff are not just professional; they make you feel like part of their extended family, remembering your preferences and treating you with genuine warmth.
Sitting right by the water, with the waves just a few meters away, you get to enjoy incredible sunsets and the peaceful sound of the sea while savoring your meal. For us, this is more than just a restaurant — it’s a tradition, a place full of happy memories, and one we will keep visiting for many more years to come.

Read moreThe restaurant was recommended to us by our hostess in Neos Marmaras. Its rating was decent, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The food is nothing special. We tried traditional starters - Greak salad, fried zucchini and fried eggplant, very average quality. The squid - both grilled and fried were also nothing special, and the portions were smaller than those in other restaurants in Neos Marmaras. We also had a mixed grill - steak, pork chop, two types of souvlaki and sausage - the meat was tough and almost without spices. No atmosphere - at least there should have been Greek music in the background, but no - just tables on the sand, like in a beach bar. The mosquitoes were an extra that we had not ordered. At least in other places there are pots of basil on the tables, here they relied on you taking repellent. The service was... well, poor - we waited a long time for the menu to be brought to us, then even longer for our orders to be taken, and they almost turned us away while we were waiting for these orders. They mixed up two of the items we ordered, and finally mixed up the bill (in their favor, but they refunded our money). This is the first time I've ever not wanted to leave a tip in a Greek restaurant - that should say enough. I don't...
Read moreWe went for dinner without reservation and they gave us table in the front so that was great. About the food and service, food was good, we had tarama, tzatziki, fried squid and it was let’s say 9/10 except the fried squid, it was maybe one of the best we had. Service was not so good, they wasn’t very nice and we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come for the bill and another 20 to pay. You had to go inside to pay and this was frustrating. BUT the most frustrating and disappointing thing was “the bread thing” so when you sit they bring you a plate of bread that in the most places we’ve been it’s a compliment, but here if you consume the bread they put it in the bill and charge you 23 EUROS FOR IT. We read the reviews here and expect it so we returned the bread and they took it without questioning. At the end of the night when we were paying they ask us if we had “the bread”… We were devastated and frustrated about that because they do it only with the tourists that clearly don’t know greek… It left us with bitter taste and that’s why i don’t recommend the place.. In the menu the price of the bread is 1,5 euro! And all of this is not about the money, it shows no respect for us.. The place is...
