Absolutely enjoyed every meal we had here, Olga and Tony are amazing people. I have a couple of dietary problems so I thought I would struggle, but, Olga and Tony speak perfect english, as do nearly all the restaurants in Moraitika, and I was able to explain without feeling like a fool. You have to try the fish, beautiful, house wine also...

We had dinner here for several evenings during our holiday in Corfu. All the dishes were superb, it was the best tzatziki and pita I’ve ever had in my life. The waiters and family that run this place are lovely. The soft Greek music that plays in the background is a sweet touch. Good...

Die Taverne liegt an der Hauptstraße, die durch das Dorf führt. Trotzdem sitzt man recht gemütlich auf der Terrasse und vom Strassenlärm bekommt man nicht sehr viel mit. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und bietet auch Speisen an, die man nicht überall bekommt. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Zucchinibällchen und als Hauptgänge Tigania und gegrillte Leber. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt und war seinen Preis wert. Wir wurden aufmerksam und freundlich bedient und können dieses Lokal nur weiterempfehlen. Nachtrag: Wir waren erneut hier und aßen diesmal eine gemischte Vorspeisen Platte und als Hauptgerichte Garnelen-Nudeln und Giros mit Metaxa Soße. Wieder war das Essen ausgezeichnet und intensiv im Geschmack. Für uns war es der beste Ort zum Essen während unseres zweiwöchigen Urlaubs in Moraitika.

Update August 2024: Das "The Islands" hat leider geschlossen. 2022: Es freut mich sehr schreiben zu dürfen, dass "The Islands" wieder geöffnet hat. Aufgrund der allgemein bescheidenen Lage der letzten zwei Jahre, hatten sich die Besitzer entschieden nicht zu öffnen. Während diesem Urlaub habe ich das zweite Mal hier zu Abend gegessen und es war: "wie immer"! Damit meine ich, dass die Speisen sehr gut und die Besitzer ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam sind. Mittlerweile komme ich schon seit einigen Jahren auf Urlaub nach Moraitika und besuche dieses Restaurant zumindest einmal, je nach Urlaubsdauer. Ich freue mich schon auf die nächsten Urlaube in Moraitika und Besuche im "The Islands"!
