I recently dined at Haritomeni and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the restaurant boasted fantastic views and attentive service, the overall meal fell short of expectations.
Let’s start with the positives. The restaurant’s location provided breathtaking views, and the staff were friendly. Kudos to them for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
My disappointment began with the main course— the beef cheeks. Despite starting the meal on a high note with grilled courgettes, the beef cheeks were a letdown. Here’s why: Presentation: The dish arrived sloppily presented, lacking any visual appeal. Flavor: The beef cheeks had no discernible flavour. Off-Tasting Sauce: The sauce accompanying the dish tasted “off,” leaving an unpleasant aftertaste. Unappetizing Fat: To make matters worse, there were large globs of fat in the meat that were downright unappetizing and tasted sour.
When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the chef, they insisted that the dish tasted as it should. However, they did remove it from the bill— a small consolation. Kudos to my partner for choosing the seabass, which he found enjoyable. At least one of us had a decent meal!
We ordered two bottles of water but received only one. They could not take it off the bill and send us home with a bottle of water we could have bought cheap at a supermarket.
Adding insult to injury, our table was infested with ants. Not exactly the dining companions we had in mind.
Considering the lackluster experience, I cannot...

The menu offers some choices with a difference and it's difficult to choose. They provide complementary pita and garlic bread with a bean dip. Their 500ml white wine is also great. Their after dinner offering is refreshing slices of melon. One of our favourite restaurants in Symi with a very...
Read moreThe view from their terrace is good, and the restaurant is colourful with lot of plant's and comfortable lighting. The waiters and owner are easy going and make you feel welcome. They even joke around a little bit. All personal i meet, including the owner speaks a unproblematic English. They served a less dry white wine then the one you buy in the local shop, I liked their one better. They haven't got any fish meal's that evening, that was to bad, cause i was looking forward to it. The chicken i got was well made, but nothing out of the normal. The restaurant don't accept...
