I prebooked a few days before our holiday requesting a table for two by the waters edge which they acknowledged. We turned up on time. We were taken to a table the furthest away from where we requested. (The lady did NOT look at the reservation book). We said we had booked a table on the lower floor by the waters edge (this table was a separate higher level set at the back brightly lit with zero ambience) and they said it was booked - we said we had booked? She was vague and got the front of house man over. He shook our hands and went to take our order - no reference of our table query which she had told him. So we repeated. He was having none of it. There were other tables freeing up in the following minutes which they did not offer us. Its interesting sitting on that level as you see everything that goes on and not in a positive way!
We stayed (on reflection we should have left) and ordered two cocktails, a shared starter, bottle of wine and two mains.
The Porn STYLE cocktail was really poor. Very disappointing. no froth on top, distinct lack of alcohol taste not chilled enough, perhaps like a childrens drink in a cocktail glass.
The starter was fine. We had to ask (by indicating over the wall (they do NOT service the upper area as they should) for our wine. Main courses were ok at best - however oddly volume was too big. Very off putting. Also the size of spoon they give you is the size of a serving spoon? Massive!
I ate half my husband even less. We were then just left for approx half an hour with our unfinished plates in front of us. Nobody comes up to that level. Eventually we decided to leave.
We approached the front of house man, and asked him to make the bill up. We told him how disatissfied we were with the service. His reply was thank you I really appreciate your feedback! That is NOT a professional reply. It felt he simply did not care (he knew we had been left he even said we left you to it) I would suggest this is not the first time he had encountered a problem as he was well versed in rolling out an answer.
This was the most expensive meal out of 8 days on Symi. We truly had wonderful service at other places e.g.

Tholos we booked a waterside table which we got and had super service and a fantastic meal.
O Haris - fantastic traditional Greek, super food and service.
Axinos simply wonderful cocktails. The Axinos house cockail was something special! I would suggest he frequents this places to learn how to run a restaurant!

The food overall was just average — nothing special, definitely not worth the price. But the worst part was the lobster situation. We asked for one lobster, and the waitress told us it might not be enough and took it upon herself to bring out three kilos of lobster without our agreement. We were then charged for the full three kilos — a huge, unexpected bill for something we never asked for.
On top of that, we waited over an hour for a simple pasta dish we ordered after the appetizers.
