Falafeleria — Restaurant in Municipality of Thessaloniki

This is the best comfort food spot in Thessaloniki. When I first to the city as a student, I searched hard to find a favorite place to eat and Falafeleria was a clear winner.

I have eaten a lot of falafel in my life and it does not compare to the falafel I’ve eaten here. I come in at least once a week but typically several times. It’s one of the best low cost dining options in the city and great for vegans vegetarians as well!

I would remiss not mentioning how kind the owners and employees have been to me. I’ve worked in restaurants for years and love to eat out but the friendliness of the staff of Falafeleria is unmatched, making it feel like a home...

I was next door having drinks with some friends. One of them said, “if you get hungry, there is a falafel store next door!” Sometimes I get discouraged about falafels because I’ve had more bad falafels than good.

I decided to check Falafeleria out anyways and was pleasantly surprised! They had an English menu and were very friendly. I decided to go with the original and the food was made very quickly.

When I took a bite of my sandwich, I was pleasantly surprised! The falafel wasn’t dry and the pickles accommodated the rest of the food very well.

So glad I tried...

Best falafel place in all of Greece... I come here at least once a week since living in Thessaloniki. Constantinos and Stella are the sweetest and make the most delicious homemade falafel mix + so many options to customize to whatever your tastes desire... I always go for the classic wrap with sweet potato fries on the side and it never disappoints! As a vegan it can be hard to find options around the city- making Falafeleria such a staple for me!
