Read moreMe and my friends used to go to Moorings all the time so yesterday we decided to go for some sushi and wine. As we arrive we were told to just pick and table and take a seat, after 10 minutes a waiter saw us and asks if we wanted to eat or just drink, we said both so he just left without a word. It took him 3 minutes to come back with the menus and when he eventually decided to come back to take our order and my friend asks her why he didn’t bring us the sushi menu he then announced that the sushi kitchen has already been closed for the day. He was really irritated and obviously was very unhappy to be there and he made it very clear with his service ( spilling water on the table during serving it, going away without saying a word, being rude). So my boyfriend is German so me and my friends were all talking in English with him, so when we go pick our car the guy tells us we need to pay 5€ for the parking,( which by the way never got a receipt for!!) and even though we tell him that we come here very often and we never had to pay before he insisted “it was always like this”. All in all we just had some wine and dessert and ended our visit there quickly and then went somewhere else. 100% not going back...

Despite its reputation and prime location, the service is clearly below par.
We're seated at the bar - 10 minutes later, we're brought two glasses of water... but it's not the staff in charge of taking orders. We wait another 15 minutes before someone finally takes our order (2 drinks and a plate of sushi). Once served, we ask twice for the menu to order something else: it never comes.
Annoyed, we decided to leave, we call many times to pay: every time we get an immediate yes and nobody comes. Finally, we get up and go straight to the cashier to pay. We express our dissatisfaction, but this doesn't seem to move the person we're talking to.
What bothers us most is the clear distinction made between customers in the restaurant, who are clearly more "profitable", and those at the bar. It's a form of two-tier treatment that reflects badly on the establishment.
To put it plainly, it's not about value for money. I have no problem paying the price when service and attention are up to scratch, but this was clearly not the case here.
We'll dont come here anymore! There are other places in Vouliagmeni that we know very well and that know how to work...
