We visited as a party of eight. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and placed our order. The first guest got their food at 8:00 p.m., the last guest got their food at 9:00 p.m. Half the guests had finished before the other half got any food. Dishes arrived before the rice. So the rice arrived after some people were finished. You would have had better service in Fawlty Towers. It was so bad it was almost funny. Memorable for all the wrong reasons. The spring rolls were good. The ribs were good. Everything else was terrible. As were the pet cats that kept running around the restaurant. Do not go here. We went because of 4.6 on Google review. Do not trust this rating. We did not leave a tip, but neither did we ask for a refund. I am 65 years of age and have never in my life seen over an hour between the first guest getting their meal and the last guest getting their meal. We went to dine together but ended up dining as individuals. We dined in different restaurants in the area all week and our average tip was between 15% and 20%. How could Mr. Fawlty expect a tip for the worst service I have ever experienced. A tip is an appreciation of good food/service. We received neither. If the service was as quick as his response to my review then he might have deserved a tip. And please, keep your cats out of your dining area. Those cats are a hygiene hazard. For stray cats your waiter was very familiar with them. He told us one was named Mike and one Nashimi. Maybe the reason your service is so bad is that you teach your staff that they should expect a tip even for apalling service. We paid for terrible service and poor food. You also want to reward bad service. How will your staff ever learn? Now I understand why your service is so bad. You do not teach your staff that good service will earn them a good tip. You teach them that a tip is their right, not the right...
Read moreArrived at 7.30, took more than an hour between the first person getting their dish to the last in a party of 7, brought out the dish with no rice to go with it until 45 minutes later for one person, awful service considering we were the only people in the entire restaurant and food was not great. When paying the bill we saw a frozen fish being thawed out behind the counter in a very interesting manner. Will stick to the souvlaki when visiting the area next.
… Edit to response to owner:
Very poor response from owner, why would anyone leave a tip for such a long wait for food and most of that food when it finally arrived went back into the kitchen, we didn’t ask for a refund for the incorrect food being brought out 90 minutes after it was ordered nor was it offered. We also were not given an itemised bill… We were in the area for a week with parties of 8 to 28 eating out every night, and had no issues with service or food delivery and always happy to leave plenty of gratuity where it was deserved.
I understand if there was some lost in translation that caused a lack of communication, it would have been nice if the service was as fast and verbose as the Google...
Read moreIt gives the impression of an original Chinese restaurant. I've only tried (4-5 times) the vegetable noodles, which I obviously liked, although I find them a bit "oily". It was very convenient that there was a choice between small and normal portion. However, I was disappointed to find out today that they cancelled the small portion and kept only the normal one, but its quantity has been reduced and is like the small one that previously existed. Plus, the crunchy things given for free with the food (looking like thick chips) were not supplied this time. For this "trick", I am giving only 3 stars. Still good prices, but it tends to get more expensive, as...
