So we got here and was expecting something very special however what we expeirced was not reflected in the reviews we had read. We went to Stoupa a week after the schools returned and so slightly out of season, however only by one week which should not have seen standards slip so much.
The food that we recieved was OK. Not amazaing but ok. My son ordered the fried fish and got just that, small fish fried, no potatoes or small side salad to accompany it like in some of the pictures i have seen on here.
Myself and my partner both ordered two chicken dishes I had the shredded chicken leg and he had the chicken souvlaki both came with chips detailed as potatoes and a a garlic sauce called tzatziki, we ordered the different chicken ones so we could try each others... We were highly disappointed that two almost identical dishes came to us except my partners was on a skewer and mine was in a pile of shredded chicken. The portion sizes were very small
My 7 year old girl had an adult meal which was 2 huge burgers served with no bun and chips on the side... The meat was not great and gristley. There was not a children's menu so it made it difficult for her to choose a meal or find something she liked
The staff were miserable and not very attentative at all, there were cats in the resterant begging for food which seems to be the accepted norm over there but none of the waiting staff shoed them away at all and this encouraged local guests to feed them
We thought that it was expensive for the standard of food served . We honestly could not uderstand why people have raved about this place and can only conclude that it was because it is generally the first decent looking restaurant that you come to when your new to the area and moat ppl will generally stop there. We experienced other restaurant first who had better service, better food, and a better atmosphere.
Our recommendation would be to shop aroud, take a walk and see ehat the other restaurants are like...

From the moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the excellent ambiance and the warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with Marialena standing out as an absolutely wonderful host. Her expert guidance helped us choose the perfect dishes, enhancing our dining experience significantly.
Each dish showcased the freshness and high quality of the ingredients, expertly prepared to bring out the best in every bite. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, transporting us straight to the heart of Greece. Every mouthful was a revelation, bursting with taste and leaving us in awe of the culinary skill on display.
At our first visit, I didn’t take any photos but just concentrated on the food, so not all of the dishes we tasted are in the photos. Over our two visits, we tried all the starters, two salads, three main dishes, and one dessert, all shared between the two of us.
We were so captivated by the food and overall experience that we returned for a second visit during our three-day stay. This is not just a restaurant; it's a place where memories are made and dreams take flight. We can't wait to come back and relive this extraordinary...
Read moreThis restaurant is by far the best place for delicious Greek food in Stoupa. Their award-winning chef is taking traditional Greek dishes to the next level, with attention to detail in presentation to your plate and your palate. We found the prices of the dishes actually quite cheap for what you get to experience. Food/prices are not comparable to the surrounding tavernas. The restaurant is stylish, but has a relaxed vibe. The staff is welcoming, quick to help, correct and professional. We have been here twice. You get a small delicious bite from the house to start, or a homemade ice. After you finished your starter, they ask in how much time you would like your main course. All in all a wonderful place and wonderful addition to the many places to eat in Stoupa. Highly recommend this place.
