Take me back!
Arrival: We are a family of six and rented two apartments at the top of Molyvos. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, George, and his lovely staff member, Marie. That kind of greeting—with a handshake, a smile wider than the Mytilini Strait, and clear, helpful information about the facilities and surroundings—set the tone for a fantastic holiday. All the other guests received the same treatment, which created a sense of community and made the stay even more enjoyable.
Facilities: Although officially rated as a 2-star hotel due to the local tourist tax, the atmosphere and service far exceed that. The apartments we stayed in had very firm beds, but we learned that other units had newer, more comfortable mattresses. The kitchen setup is minimal, clearly designed for guests who prefer to dine out, with limited cookware and a small stovetop. We brought four kids who love swimming, but we were actually glad the hotel didn’t have a pool—it made for a much more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Plus, we had free access to a nearby hotel’s pool just a couple of kilometers away.
Location: I would say the location is nearly perfect—this is the last house at the top of Molyvos, away from the restaurant noise, yet only a five-minute walk from the town’s vibrant center. From up here, you get stunning views and can enjoy the sunset in the gentle...

The place was clean, though not pristine, and its older character added to its appeal. The surrounding area added to the charm, with a delightful restaurant and bakery nearby, perfect for enjoying local flavors. Molyvos itself is a beautiful place that absolutely needs to be checked out, offering a picturesque and vibrant atmosphere. However, there were a few minor issues that could use some attention. The toilet door lock was faulty and kept slipping open, the showerhead mount on the wall was broken, and the main door was old with a noticeable gap underneath, which allowed noise from the neighbors to travel through. Despite these small hiccups, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I found the stay to be well worth it. I’d...

Not for people with walking problems as it is at the higher side of the village and one must be prepared to climb a few stone steps or cobblestone alleys. Alternatively one will need to drive around the ring road that runs above the village. But the cobblestone alleys are a generic characteristic of the Molivos village in general and not a problem or issue of the specific...
