The waitstaff's lack of attention was disappointing. They seemed unresponsive, leaving empty plates on the table even when serving the next course. The main waiter, who appeared visibly displeased, was not readily available, avoiding eye contact and showing little concern when bread or water ran out. I had to stand up and approach the main waiter just to get a menu for ordering an additional green salad.

I requested a second bottle of water, which never arrived, and a green salad without cheese or feta. They suggested the "al mare salad," which I later discovered contained cheese. This was frustrating, especially when they refused to acknowledge the mistake when I asked for clarification.

Furthermore, the owner prepared a bill that did not correspond to my table, listing everything in Greek. After pointing out the error, I finally received the correct bill, which still included the wrong salad.

To be clear, there were no language barriers as both the waiter and I spoke English well.

Al Mare Restaurant was an absolute highlight of my trip to Greece. The calamari were cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had!

The staff truly elevated the entire experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming. They made us feel right at home, and their recommendations were spot-on.

We have tried Musaka, Greek salad, Fried cheese. The next day we came back for Rose wine, hot salad with tomatoes, salad with figs and green apple, Schnitzel in cream sauce, an PITA BREAD 👌 Honestly, I really can't tell what was more delicious. Ok I am joking, you have to try the fig/apple salad 😊 All meals were beyond delicious. The Rose just perfect! Prices are more than acceptable - mid range I would say. Highly recommend...
