Our visit to Paragaea Olive Oil Factory was a real treat! The guided tour was about 40 minutes long—concise, engaging, and packed with information on historic olive oil production at Parga’s very first mechanical mill.

The hosts were warm and clear in their explanations, keeping everything “to the point.” We truly learned a lot—especially during the olive oil tasting. It was a top-notch, artisanal experience that revealed the secrets of tasting, cooking, and selecting quality olive oils.

After the tasting, we browsed their charming shop, where you can pick up excellent olive oils, wines, and other local delicacies—perfect for bringing a taste of Greece home .

The best experience in Parga! Never been to a wine tasting before but this was very educational, entertaining and fun. Our host Mrs Kassiani is very positive and professional spreading her knowledge about wine to the guest as well as clues in order to identify notes of each wine and she also informed us about food and wine pairing giving us food ideas for each option! Would definitely recommend for a fun experience! Additionally each wine out of the six that we tasted was also available to purchase at a very reasonable and affordable price which was a plus after all those delicious wines tasted! Not to be missed visit of the former factory cum museum which is in its original state so that you can understand the whole process of making oil from local olives the traditional way. The explanations provided are precious to understand why this production was so vital to Parga over hundreds of years and had to be stopped in 1974. Olive oil tasting is delicious and enlightening because you can sense the difference between younger, more mature, or flavored oils, all produced the traditional way.
