Matzourana — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

Went there with high expectations. The view is decent, not as good as from the St Antonios monastery hill, but still pretty good. The quantity of food served was pretty small. If for example I wanted to feel fine eating just spaghetti there I'd need 2 and a half of their plates. Taste-wise the tuna tasted great, very very good actually. The beef burger served with just a small pita underneath it tasted mediocre and it was rather small. No rice or French fries offered with it. Anything above 5€ for that dish is a steal in my opinion. The pink carbonara tasted just above average and it only got a little better after we asked for some cheese to add. But that doesn't make it a proper plate of spaghetti, and certainly not worth a single cent over 6.5€ ( it costed twice that, or even more, I think we paid 14€ for it ). The salad was small just like the rest of our food and wasn't priced accordingly of course. Last but not least, 3€ for a 250ml bottle of pop? Really? I'd try another restaurant instead....

Matzourána serves extraordinarily tasty, top quality food at a very reasonable price. My partner and I opted to share the veal livers and beetroot salad to start with and these were incredibly good. So full of flavour snd prepared and presented perfectly. Our mains were also special; lamb pieces with French fried potatoes and pasta with smoked pork and xynomizithra cheese. So good. We were also presented with two exquisitely tasty cheese pancakes on our arrival and served a gorgeous slice of chocolate pie as a dessert ‘on the house’. This was one of our favourite meals in all our travels. This lovely restaurant is in a spectacular setting high above Náousa harbour. Don’t miss it....

Matzourana is an excellent restaurant, with a nice view and very attentive personnel.

The menu consists of classic Greek cuisine with a modern twist. For starters we had the fried courgette sticks and the giaourtlou. We tried as main courses the sfougata, the lamb and the pork steaks and we liked all of the dishes. Deserts are really nice too.

Prices are very reasonable for the quality.

The service is excellent and all staff are very friendly.

The restaurant is located at a 15 minute walk from the port of Naousa. There is a glass enclosed area for the nights that are too windy to eat outside.
