Tucked away in the heart of Paros, Daverona delivers a modern take on Greek cuisine that’s both inventive and deeply satisfying. We ordered a spread that showcased their creative flair: a refreshing and beautifully balanced summer salad, moussaka croquettes that reimagined a classic with rich, comforting flavors, potatoes topped with bacon marmalade (a surprising standout), and incredibly tender beef cheeks that melted in the mouth.
What truly sets Daverona apart is their commitment to quality ingredients and culinary creativity. Each dish felt thoughtful, well-executed, and full of character. The owner—who is also the chef—clearly pours love and passion into the menu, and it shows on every plate.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a setting that felt both stylish and relaxed. The staff and owners were exceptionally friendly and attentive, striking just the right balance between professional and personal. We were also impressed by their excellent wine list, curated to complement the bold flavors of the dishes.

The heart and soul has been poured into each aspect of the dining experience. The dishes, while all authentically Greek, are so unique and unlike anything you have encountered. They are all fun, playful, flavourful and the quality of ingredients is phenomenal. We shared the Moussaka croquettes and calamari as appetizers. At first when deciding what to eat, I said you know calamari is calamari, wherever you go — but what I received surpassed my expectations. What you think of as household staples are transformed and elevated. My husband had the sea bass and I had the linguine. You cannot go wrong with any dish. We were not planning dessert but the great experience called for it. We finished with the lemon and brownie desserts. Each phenomenal in their own ways and so special (the only photos I was able to capture).
All of the staff are superb. Every single one is very knowledgeable about both wines and all of the food. They were professional, welcoming and attentive.

Read moreOne of the best dining experiences in Paros, and we have been to the island several times. We celebrated a milestone birthday and we were a group of 8, yet everything went very smoothly. This is a unique place because they somehow manage to blend attentive service, impeccable food, a fun ambience, and pure Cycladic decor in one tidy package. We started with some intricate and nicely balanced cocktails, each with a distinct flavour and lovely finish. Then came the food - and we had some very memorable dishes, such as the beet carpaccio with sprouts, pistachios and local cheese in “foam” form, as well as a silky smooth beetroot hummus and a number of delicious salads. As the mains arrived, we marvelled at the tuna steak’s perfect searing, and at the linguini’s elevated presentation, topped with a dollop of soft and mild cheese, and prepared al dente with Italian-level execution (a rarity in the Greek Islands). The waiters were always available and moved quickly. The pacing of the dishes was also well executed - another rare sight in a busy season with labour shortages.
