Excellent food but service leaves a lot to be desired. Caution: do not accept the low tables if offered, these are not suited for eating as you will either need to sit on the floor or risk leaving with a bad back. We asked staff 3 times(each time a different person) to be moved to a table as soon as one would be made available but ignored on every occasion, I even saw at least 2 tables open up but be offered to walk in customers. When I brought this up I was made to feel like I was being unreasonable and then ignored by the staff for the rest of the night. They also failed to mention that the fish doesn't come with anything else (not even a small salad), meaning I had to order again and let my fish get cold.
We didn't receive a single 'sorry' or anything, which is such a shame as I really enjoyed the food, the chefs are clearly the ones who know what...
Read moreWe had dinner at To Takimi tonight and it was, without exaggeration, one of the worst meals we’ve had in Greece. The food was utterly disappointing: the meat was flavorless, as was the salad, the Fennel Bites were soaked through in oil and you couldn’t eat a second piece without feeling sick. and the portions felt careless.
What made it worse was that the staff seemed indifferent, even after we told them how unsatisfied we were with our meal and half of it was left untouched as it was inedible, and there was no sense of hospitality.
In a place like Paros, where authentic, delicious food is so easy to find, this stood out for all the wrong reasons.
We left feeling frustrated that we had wasted both our time and money here. There are countless wonderful tavernas on the island — unfortunately, this is not...
Read moreGreat central location around the main church square, and has this wonderful Greek charm with the beautiful purple-flowering vines. Friendly staff will make you feel like home, and you will have a tasty meal with plenty of traditional options. Prices are more than fair for such a central location.
The only thing that prevented me from leaving the full 5 stars is that we went in twice during our stay in Paros, and each time one of the two toilets still had no seat (apparently broken but not sure why it can't be fixed within a week). It caused a bit of an awkward and uncomfortable experience, and I couldn't think of an excuse for why this could have been left like this. In our experience, this is not common for Greek resorts.
With this exception/remark, I would very much...
