We had the pleasure of dining at Yemeni Wine Restaurant on the beautiful island of Paros, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the evening.

The culinary journey began with the tomahawk pork steak and the special lamb, and it was evident that the chefs at Yemeni Wine Restaurant are masters of their craft. Both dishes were cooked to absolute perfection, showcasing a symphony of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with delight. The tomahawk pork steak was succulent and tender, while the special lamb was a delectable treat that melted in our mouths. These dishes were true testaments to the culinary expertise of the kitchen.

To complement our meal, we opted for a local gem, the 2020 Moraitis full-bodied red wine. This wine was the perfect companion to our dinner, with its rich, velvety notes enhancing every bite. It was a delightful discovery and a testament to the restaurant's commitment to showcasing the best of local flavors.

The service at Yemeni Wine Restaurant was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was exceptional. They guided us through the menu, recommended wine pairings, and made us feel like valued guests throughout the evening.

The ambiance of the restaurant was equally enchanting. The soft lighting, and tasteful decor created a romantic and inviting atmosphere. It was the kind of setting that made our dinner feel not just like a meal but a cherished memory.

In conclusion, our dinner at Yemeni Wine Restaurant on Paros was a culinary journey to remember. From the superbly cooked dishes to the outstanding local wine, impeccable service, and special ambiance, every element of the evening was nothing short of fantastic. If you find yourself on Paros, Yemeni Wine Restaurant is a must-visit destination for an exquisite...

I had been looking forward to trying Yemeni as it was one of the most recommended spots. Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend, especially as a solo traveler. I made a reservation and was seated promptly. I placed an order for a starter (ceviche) and a main (pasta). While every other table was brought only their main, I was brought both dishes at the same time. I noted that the pasta was my main and I wanted it separately as I did not want my pasta to get cold while I ate my starter. They did take the dish away and promised me they would make me a new pasta however, when my pasta came, the fish on top was cold/room temp which makes me think they just let my dish sit. The most egregious fault occurred later in the meal. I was enjoying my meal and had both pasta and wine left when I went to use the restroom (which is above the restaurant). As I am a solo diner, I left my water bottle on the table to indicate that I did not dine and dash (I also had not paid). I came back, not even 5 min later to find my table completely cleared. I asked what happened and was told that they thought I left so threw out my items. I asked why they didn’t check to see if I had paid but the waiter gave me a dumb “idk” face. It seems they’re not capable of critical thought. While they were apologetic and did comp the meal, this left a very bad taste in my mouth. I had been looking forward to finishing my meal and wine and also perhaps ordering dessert. It’s also worth noting that every other table was offered a free dessert, which they did not offer to nor ask if I wanted the table back and to sit and order anything additional. From the moment they brought both my dishes at the same time, it felt as though I was undervalued as a solo diner and that they were doing their best to push me out as soon as possible. While the food was decent, the experience gets a 0/10 and I suggest you spend your...

We went in with high expectations, left with an average experience at best.

We were seated quickly and efficiently at a very comfortable table. This was the first sign that things were off….very impersonal. After what seemed like an unusually long wait we were greeted by an waiter who took our drink orders and delivered them promptly and efficiently. The drinks were excellent.

Our waiter answered a few questions about the appetizers and main courses which helped us place our order. Again, he was very professional, but impersonal.

The appetizers were delivered promptly and were tasty and as advertised. We were never asked if they were to our liking….not a big deal, but a sign of things to come.

Dinner was served. My fruitti di mare was tasty, but was served with 3 tiny clams and 4 tiny overcooked shrimp. Extremely disappointing and underwhelming. If it was billed as pasta with seafood sauce I guess it would have been ok, but don’t call it frutti di mare and serve it with nearly no actual seafood! See the picture of the entirety of my seafood shells. Two people had a chicken dish that was ok, but not great, and my wife had a spinach risotto which was tasty but not hot. From the time our food was served until we finished nobody asked how our meal was….if I were asked I would have made it clear then that there was no seafood in my seafood meal!

When we were done we shared our disappointment with the waiter, he was polite but defensive. He did give us two free deserts to try to make amends.

In summary, our meal was OK and our service was efficient but cold. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend or anyone else for that matter. So many great choices in Paros, why waste a meal where they don’t seem to care about your experience and choose to...

We came here on the recommendation of our BnB, expecting great seafood on a Greek island. Instead, we left disappointed (and lighter in the wallet). The menu looked promising, but the prices already raised an eyebrow — €31 for a seafood linguine, €25.50 for grilled octopus. That’s fine if the food delivers. Spoiler: it didn’t. The seafood linguine arrived with a portion fit for a child. For €31 you’d expect a bounty of the sea; instead, we got 3 prawns, 3 mussels, 5 clams, and a sad little swirl of pasta. And those mussels? Sooooo small (see photo). I’ve had a crab pasta in Piraeus for €20 that fed three people. Here, it barely covered one. I took nice photos, but don’t be fooled — the food looks better in pictures than it tasted. When I mentioned the portion at the end, the waiter just smiled and said, “it’s for one person.” It doesn’t make it any less absurd. The grilled octopus? Not fresh, chewy in all the wrong ways, and honestly questionable for a restaurant that is literally on an island that pride itself for seafood. Since this is a wine bar, we asked for time to choose, but the staff jumped in with their “expert” suggestions: a white (Island something) and a rosé (Rodi). Neither was remotely close to what we asked for (semi-sweet). Maybe it’s a different Greek flavour profile, or maybe it was just bad pairing — either way, another miss. Overall, small portions, high prices, and seafood that didn’t taste fresh. If you don’t mind paying a lot for very little, this might suit you. For us, it was a real disappointment. If you’ve read this far and want a better option, head inland to Aranto in Lefkes. Fresh food, generous portions, and prices that make sense. A far better experience and proof that this island can deliver what you came for.

Only positive things can be said of this Greek restaurant. After spending 2 weeks in Paros and walking past it various times and seeing it always full, I decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint, it was the best restaurant I tried during my stay. The restaurant is local and not overdone from the inside, but is highly charming, offers a fantastic menu, great service and excellent quality produce using only local fresh items. Every dish we ordered was exquisite. We were a group of 4 and for starters we ordered to share: fried feta (amazing!), chickpeas (so good and flavorful), tzatziki - all to be recommended. And for main we shared: Sea-bass filet and the 4 cheese gnocchi - both incredible. The price was super reasonable considering the great dinner we had including wine. The person who we believe was the owner and was serving us , making sure everything was on point, one can sense the passion and desire to deliver excellence in a very cozy and familiar environment. Even the wine menu was hand written which we loved. Recommend 100%. Thank you!
