Unfortunately I had a bad experience here that impacts my review. My significant other and I were seated at 12pm without a reservation, and the restaurant of course is popular with a view of the ocean. We ordered watermelon feta salad and grilled octopus, which the server said was good and local. The watermelon salad was pretty good with the pesto sauce and pomegranate syrup. The grilled octopus was another story. As soon as the a female server gave us the octopus she instructed us to cut alone the lines, otherwise it would be hard to chew. I’ve had grilled octopus now on Milos, Santorini, and Naxos and never had a server tell me that. I think the female server knew this octopus was over cooked and hence extremely chewy here which is why she instructed us in this. I found it hard to cut and even harder to chew, in fact my jaw hurt by the number of times I was chewing. My significant other agreed on this. When we mentioned it to her, she said “that’s how we eat it in Greece”, assuming it was my first time. I found it patronizing. When the other female server colllected the bill from us and asked how everything was, I again told her the octopus was over cooked and she agreed it was chewy. I said it wasn’t good and she responded “well, the taste is not for everyone.” Instead of trying to address the issue, both servers brushed it off, making me think they don’t care and probably have had similar other complaints before. This restaurant caters to tourists which they can turn over quickly so perhaps that’s why they didn’t try to make things better, nonetheless this has been the worst service I’ve gotten in my two week Greek vacation thus far. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here unless the service and food improves.

Please take the octopus off the menu. We are a greek-american couple, with a Greek surname, recently married who had a reservation. This restaurant had come highly recommended and had a lot of hype on tiktok but I think circumstances have changed and it no longer lives up to its reputation. We were offered 2/5 available tables for 2 people. Neither of the two were on the water or ideal. The tables are close together so when the 4 top next to us had their post dinner cigarette we should have taken that as a sign to leave. The location and ambiance is great, on the water, sunset, can't beat it. But the food was lacking. The zucchini 'balls" were actually fingers (no picture because at the time it wasn't worth it and we didn't think we'd be leaving this kind of review) and once you cut into them a sea liquid engulfed the plate. We also ordered the dolmades and Greek salad which were both delicious, however our main course is the reason for this review. We have had a lot of octopus on our trip/life and this was inedible. It was clearly pre-frozen and cooked far too long. You could barely cut it with a knife and you'd strain your jaw by chewing it. We told the staff and they were kind enough to take it off our bill. Once we went home we read the reviews and it's clear this is a recent trend so be advised and order something else. We also heard the waiter tell the table next to us that the chef wanted them to know that the fish he prepared for them might be "too salty".

Taverna Glafkos in Naoussa, Paros, is an absolute gem that captures the essence of Greek dining. Nestled right by the water, this spot offers not only stunning views but also an exceptional culinary experience. The fish here is as fresh as it gets, often caught the same day and prepared with a simplicity that lets the natural flavors shine. The service is outstanding—warm, attentive, and truly welcoming, making every guest feel like family. Whether you’re indulging in their succulent octopus or savoring the catch of the day, every dish is a testament to quality and tradition. The ambiance is relaxed yet refined, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal while the sun sets over the Aegean. For anyone visiting Paros, Taverna Glafkos is a must-visit destination, where you’ll find the perfect blend of great food, impeccable service, and unforgettable views.

We didnt manage to eat there because they denied us the access. Their disrespectful attitude is worth leaving a review that reflects honestly the ethics of this business. After our day in the beach we arrived at this restaurant. We were wearing flip flops and simple clothes as we were in the sea earlier. The host of the restaurant run quickly at the door to stop us there before entering further in the tables. I told him we needed a table for two. He looked at us and said I have no tables. In the background you could notice several empty tables so I pointed out that I can see them. He then remained silent. I asked if they work with reservations and if we can make one implying that I want to reserve at least a table for another day. Instead of asking about the reservation we intend to make he replied that yes these days there are a lot of reservations. He told us at this stage for the second time, I have no tables for you, its fully booked. I asked him if he is sure there is nothing and he said yes no tables at all. He opened a notebook from far with hypothetical notes on reservations. He said such a pity, we dont have tables , goodbye girls! Only a stupid person would believe this guy. His statements, tone, way of looking at us and his body language clearly suggest that he denied to give us a table because we are Greek and specifically simply dressed. He assumed we wont make such a high bill so its not worth giving us the table that he can give to a tourist. This is discrimination and highlights the rip off tourists attitude of this business. Ironically there was a sign in the entrance that flip flops are welcome. I havent been treated like this ever in a restaurant and I have been in many expensive restaurants around the world. Even if you contact me I wont remove this review because I am certain about what happened and this employee of yours was a terrible liar supporting your mindset on choosing clients by...
