Our favorite restaurant in Skiathos and an absolute must visit.
We went here twice during our one week stay in Skiathos. The restaurant is a hefty uphill walk so definitely consider coming by car, and remember to reserve a table in advance.
The restaurant has a beautiful view of the port and we were met by a very hospitable staff. The menu is packed with options that range from traditional Greek food with a personal twist, while also having food inspired by different cultures. The food was delicious and we were particularly impressed with the meat dishes. We had one of the best grilled steak of our lives here, and that’s coming from a steak enthusiast. Perfect char on the surface while perfectly cooked to the desired temperature on the inside. For our second visit we went for a tapas-style dinner ordering multiple dishes of their very varied starter menu - which is why we recommend coming here at least twice. The complementary desert was also light and delicious. Prices are agreeable and you will get a satisfying experience regardless of budget.
The restaurant is surprisingly well staffed with impeccable service. The servers are impressively attentive, always keeping an eye out for when menus are closed to take our order, or ensuring that the empty plates are taken out without ever feeling imposing, overbearing or stressful. If you want to grab a quick dinner or have a long and relaxing taverna style evening, this place is perfect for both.
The music is traditional and calming, set at a perfect volume that complements the atmosphere. Finally, we were extremely impressed with the clean and well equipped bathrooms that even had female hygiene products that can come in clutch.
Agnadio felt like a fine dining restaurant while retaining the authentic family owned taverna feeling that you come to Greece for. A finely curated dining experience that gets every detail right, restaurant owners in Skiathos should be...
Read moreWhat an amazing night! I celebrated my 50th birthday here and it was great. There was a wedding in the family that owns the restaurant at the same time so they let us stay long after closing time. The food was incredible. We took many different starters for 15 people and shared it around. Afterwards we took various main courses and again shared it. Sea food, fish, meat, veggy or sweet, we could not find a weak spot to any meal and everyone was smiling in joy of good food. We saw an older person dance sirtaki at the wedding, and they even played a song we asked for me and my wife to dance! The staff was smiling all night, very friendly and talkative! You can feel a family spirit and respect. The view is also amazing and the soft breeze of wind just makes it perfect. A huge advantage to restaurants downtown is that there is a single source of music and it is very relaxing. They also keep such a music volume that it is easy to speak and hear all other persons at the table.
I want to give a special thanks to Spiros, who took all effort to make every picture perfect and help us make it a night...
Read moreIncredible food to match the breathtaking view!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making the vibe of the place very positive without any pretentiousness. They helped us select a delicious garden salad (a different take on dakos, fewer rusks, green/fresh onions added alongside aubergine that melted in my mouth), a flavourful mushroom risotto and a moist lamb cooked in the oven perfectly with a side of seasoned potatoes. We hesitated over ordering drinks (we were partial to beers for the evening originally) but were not disappointed by the house white. To cap it off they surprised us with the best orange pie I have ever had with a scoop of ice cream and a sprinkling of nuts. Based on the food quality and the breathtaking view, this place could have been quite prententious and stuffy, but instead it was an oasis of great company and...
