We visited DeBone in Skiathos with high expectations, as their online presence suggests a high-end, premium dining experience. Sadly, what we encountered was far from that.
We started with two appetizers which were actually quite good — perhaps the only highlight of the evening. However, the service throughout was noticeably poor and unprofessional, which was extremely disappointing, especially considering the restaurant’s reputation and pricing.
For our main courses, we ordered a wagyu burger (medium) and a 300g wagyu steak priced at 111 euros. While this is within the expected range for wagyu, the quality we received didn’t come close to justifying the cost. • The burger arrived well-done, not medium as requested. The bun was also incorrect. • My wagyu steak was grilled, which is not a proper method for this type of premium meat. It tasted burnt, masking the rich flavor wagyu is supposed to have.
When I raised the issue with the waitress, her response was: “It’s grilled, that’s probably why it tastes burnt.” There was no apology or effort to address the issue.
When it came time to pay, I brought it up again, and the only response I got was a casual “sorry” before the server walked away with the check. No compensation, no acknowledgment of the poor experience — just indifference.
To make things worse, although the steak was listed as 300g, it looked and felt more like 180–250g after cooking. This only reinforced the sense of being overcharged.
As I was leaving and had already placed the money on the table, someone came over and casually asked “Was it good?” — but he didn’t wait for an answer or seem to care. He immediately started counting the money rather than listening to my feedback. This really confirmed that the focus here is more on profit than guest satisfaction.
I’ve truly never felt so disrespected or humiliated in a restaurant before.

Bottom line: This place is far too overpriced for such low-class service and poor attention to detail. While someone might have a better experience ordering simpler dishes or cheaper cuts, if you’re expecting a premium dining experience, this is not the place.

This is a New steakhouse restaurant in a beautiful location just of Papadiamanti Street serving the finest cuts of steak you will find hard to beat anywhere. We arrived to be greeted by Maria who escorted us inside. We received a friendly welcome from the team as we took a seat at the bar for an aperitif. Chris made us two fabulous cocktails the Aegean Syrup and the De Bone Paloma. We then sat at one of the tables on the front terrace to begin the evenings festivities. They also have a lovely courtyard at the rear of the restaurant. The menu consists of salads , appetisers , mains , sides , desserts and of course the finest quality steaks. We started with some bread and Marathaki olive oil along with the De Bone Salad. This was followed by the best steak we’ve had in a very long time. We chose to share 500 grams of the USA Black Angus Rib Eye that was cooked to perfection. We accompanied this with the grilled vegetables , roasted asparagus and the beef dripping fries. To finish we were treated to the Basque Burnt Cheesecake which was delicious and a lovely way to end an outstanding evening. This is a restaurant that I would personally recommend as the food is incredible and is matched by excellent friendly service. It was also nice to be able to chat with the owners and chef to hear about their plans. But all I can honestly say that if this is just the beginning then I would advise keeping your eyes on this place. Because I think it will get better and better. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Best Steakhouse, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly staff ready to make my visit enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about the T-bone steak! It was hands down the best steak I've ever had. Cooked to perfection, it was incredibly tender and juicy, with a rich flavor that left me craving more. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural taste of the meat without overpowering it. Each bite was a delightful experience!
To complement the steak, I enjoyed a lovely glass of white wine recommended by our server. The wine had a crisp and refreshing flavor that paired surprisingly well with the richness of the T-bone, enhancing the entire meal.
The sides were equally impressive. The fries were perfectly crispy and made for a wonderful accompaniment to the steak.
The service was excellent, with attentive staff who ensured everything was to my satisfaction.
Overall, I highly recommend The Best Steakhouse to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. I can't wait to return for another incredible meal!
